Someone just posted in reddit saying " Barb [Ethereal] Grandfather has not been updated. It rolls some older value from 200-250 from the Remorseless Legendary…"
I haven’t found any Ethereal yet but if they ever decide to update that with a hotfix, I hope they also add some of the skipped legendary powers.
Current Remorseless grants 600-800% damage bonus to HotA when both Call of the Ancients and WotB activated. I think that only means you need Gavel of Judgment on the Ethereal power and cube Remorseless instead. For Barbarian players, it’ll be like equipping Gavel of Judgment instead of dual wield 1-hand melees. Perhaps it’s to ease people into using 2-handers since people complain non-stop about this or that build lacking damage while insisting on using dual wield 1-hand weapons.
Whats this mean overall? means they are bad?
Someone mentioned that the old power for Bloodtide Blade was higher than it is now (now only for up to 10 enemies). So this would be good for Blood Nova.

I tried to log in again to check the leaderboards to see some ethereals but I couldn’t. Just now there is an update to the game. Maybe a fix.
This is EU.
Edit can’t log in… error code 315003. I did start season and earlier Friday. (Got a low level Wizardspike while leveling up).

Last season LoD Death Nova was easily doing 2-3 minutes 130-somethings and the bugged version was able to do pretty quick 140s. I don’t think it’ll be as OP this season but you can still go fairly quickly with it even with the channeling. It’s all about elite hunting.
There are issues atm that is affecting some games. It’s not solely a D3 problem.
I tried all three regions just now and they are all failing.

Just for info. The season leaderboard shows that the Blooodtide Blade weapon power on an ethereal is correct, and with up to 10 enemies.
Baskenater shows that ethereals can have outdated weapon powers (showing WD stuff).
He also shows that ethereals can be rerolled in recipe 11 and get primal max stats.

And this why we need to have stuff tested before letting things go live. Just because further D3 development is done is not a valid excuse to let bugs exist.

It’s fine by me that recipe 2 and 11 can be used. But outdated weapon powers (I don’t know how big this issue is) is not good.

The blog states that the Ethereals cannot be reforged. Thus recipe 2 should not work (it didn’t in S24). Recipe 11 is an obvious oversight as it was added in S28.

It makes the ethereal hunt way better 
There are still lots of things to grind for in the seasonal gameplay.
I wouldnt know. Ive been playing for 10 hrs and havent seen a single one. Ill let you know when(if) I ever do.

Yeah I am having a hard time to believe the Ethereals exist in this season since I hit level 70 I have not seen a single one dropped. You would think they would want to make it fun to play by letting the drop rate the same as regular legendary for better QoL
