yea its gonna be tricky especially when it comes to ip hunting. i really dont know what they can do with that and how it can work. but i have a few ideas.
i assume your are right when it comes to bnet 2.0 and the fact that we wont be able to actually hunt for ip addresses anymore or even be in a game that has a specific address. buts lets assume they could somehow figure out a way where it would be identical to the old system of ip hunting and find an amount of sojs to compensate for dupers/botters be sold that would be balanced. that would be the best case scenario. there isn’t really any other way around the fact that dupers and boters wont exist and we need some kind of drop rate to start with at the end of the day. all this is very experimental
now lets assume the cannot do the ip hunting thing. this is where things can get tricky. instead of having games with ip addresses, they would have each game created roll a number between 1-125 (maybe less for balance). the number you roll would represent the server like how it did before (xx.4000) then you start selling soj’s on that “server” until dclone pops.
i cant have any input on how many sojs should be sold for a chance for dclone to pop or if misswalks should be a thing but without being able to check what number you are on in the first place and not having dcloneirc, things will already be very different. either way im hopeful they will find a way to make dclone hunting fun somehow.
