Diablo III PTR 2.7.4 - Has Concluded

regardless of what forums the fact is in some cases if any product or service is recieving this level of negativity the company making it should step back and re-examine their priorities

Diablo immortal is one of those cases

I do agree. It’s not like it’s a few people here and there worldwide to make it look like a ton of people all over the world. It really is a ton of people, well actually more. Many more.

Off course a nice feature gets hit hard by nerfs…
Rip EN.
It was its only true advantage…

While making portals close, please include closing the not-the-cow-level portal as well.

About the season theme, please do allow the items to retain the perfect stats and move over to non seasonal (and aloow to equip as many as wanted), only remove that seasonal power…

Speaking of which, it would be ver nice to have a way, also after the season- to work your gear up to perfect stats.

For the seasonal theme, please allow follower to equip and use the upgraded items as well. This would make the gap between group play and solo play smaller. Although just for a season, but better than nothing.

Thank god they nerfed the XP gain from ENs. This is awesome news. The game mode wont be the XP meta but rather something you do on the side of the main game (grs and rifts) just like bounties, vaults, ubers.

What is lacking from the PTR notes is powercreep. People really liked season 24 and 25 cause it made us feel strong. Can we please get some actual powercreep again?

Thanks!

As a dedicated Crusader player, I give two thumbs up to the conceptual revamp to the Akkhan’s set of armor! That looks interesting and new!

No big surprises on patch notes besides afew small points. I’ll still have plenty of time to try PTR when I got back from vacation and dunk some ENs for squeezing some last minute experience boost.

I don’t really care for Inna nerf but I find it really harsh. By a rough call it’d be around 70% damage nerf; bringing it about 6-8 tiers down. People would be forced to use Earth Ally which is not entirely reliable and Fire Ally will be forgotten because it has such down time. I’ll negotiate by saying bring it up to 1200% per Mystic Ally or keep 900%, but bring 5 times damage bonus for Fire Ally on the bracers again. Optimal testing of these numbers would be more reliable if Earth Ally didn’t go all over the place 5 seconds after activating it.

I see that you’re keen on buffing 3 specs from each class and using the theme as a test ground for this. I can hardly wait what you’ll get from the metrics of this PTR and season.

Since Judgement/Mass Verdict rune pulls all enemies in 20 yard radius (and has no cooldown - awesome!), I suggest using something like Condemn/Shattering Explosion rune, which increases the blast radius to 20 yards.

…Details to be determined in testing.

To be fair we do not know how powerful some of those effects will end up being till we test them since they are mainly new and not going off some weapon damage % increase of existing skills.

Well the TR change looks much better than the DMO which it needed it since it was far behind but the DMO changes are very nice to make the set much less clunky and squishy which we’ve been wanting for years so yes, looks good…but will await the testing before giving a full :+1:

My 2 fav wizzy sets. Odds are good which class I play…

I think DMO with the angelic orbs buff could be brokenish. I mean its literally a 2x damage modifer if im readin it correctly.

Thank you Blizz for this: “Uber Boss Realms now automatically close 60 seconds after the Uber Bosses have been defeated. Additional portals to the same Uber Boss Realm can now be opened in a single game session.”

First off, the various effects on the Sanctified items sounds more like how legendary effects should have been in the game. Instead of what they are today.
Changing how skills work, rather than huge multipliers. The effects might still be way too powerful, but hey, an improvement is an improvement.

We’ve heard from players that the Crafted 3-piece sets have had some of the most significant impacts on itemization, so we’re introducing another to add more choice.

Good,. The mini sets are the only good sets in D3.

Our goal with the Armor of Akkhan rework is to narrow the focus of the set to give a distinctive identify, highlighting a fantasy where the Crusader is the Knight-Commander, passing judgment on the enemies of the Light.

And one of the reasons that the other sets are bad is due to “narrowing the focus”. Aka. telling players how to make builds.

Inna’s Mantra Monks have been riding high on the waves of success for several seasons, so it’s time to bring in the nerf shark.

Very nice that the nerfhammer has been found after it went missing. But still a bit silly that the concept explicitly is “nerf something after it was allowed to be overpowered for multiple seasons”. Same old Flavor of the Month design.

I dont mind that Akkan can be a Pet Build…but I am against it as a Mandatory Pet build. As in you HAVE to play with pets (cooldown etc) or the set just doesnt work.
I hope there is a middle ground.

And yes, all Phalanx items are useless…and…they are firing “Condems”??? I guess we’ll have to see how that works. If 10 pets fire Condems at 1/sec at a boss.
Hmmm, maybe its not bad lol. Just one shot the boss with 10-20 condems, that would solve the Area Damage issue.

**Condem for you! Condem for you! CONDEM FOR EVERY DEMON!!!

Now any lvl 70 character can come leeching in public T16 bounties ?
I’m not hyped about that.

What about the advantage of free augments, do you want to level up 13 gems to lvl 125 manually ?

I am very worried about this “perfect stats” phrase they used.
It was the exact kind of language that they used to introduce the PRIMAL items.

-Primals were suppose to roll “perfect”, and end game chase. [I dont want to argue that 10,000 regen on your Primal gloves are not a perfect roll, some people say oh its just "loot 2.0…]

—So I hope, but I feel like we’ll just have to see…how “perfect” these items are

Depends how often they spawn, being that it’s not 100% of the time we cannot claim x2 yet. Besides DMO needed a damage buff permanently, this is only temporary. If it turns out really strong, than it will only last 1 season so no big deal. Give DMO a fighting chance here, hasn’t been group meta viable in like 16 seasons lol.

QOL def…
Mayybeee just like 30-15 secs?
There is nothing to loot in there. But I guess can go rift, uber

Do the patch notes mean that, or just that it works the way it currently works now, minus new players?

What I mean, is that first time players had Adventure Mode locked, and were locked to Expert Difficulty. Now, this helps players with new accounts jump into the same access that other players have always had.

With post 70, in private games, you already had access to T16, though, in private games. I just interpreted that it will work the same way.

Why? This isn’t really an issue being as these aren’t permanent. It’s really a minor boost, perfect gear stats might be the most overrated thing this community has ever argued about.

Legit season theme should be re-introducing Primal v1s just to show it wouldn’t have been that bad and they were wrong, but Ethereals already proved that.
