I think the “nerf” dept at Blizz has some serious issues…They are probably people who never played games, doesnt understand math and interactions…
-Monk nerf: agreed…the past two seasons clearly, if you dont start with monk, you will fall behind, but the nerf always go wayyyy past…like back to 900 (its a bit too much IMO) half would be ok. It seems they just pick random points.
-Necro bone spear nerf: the BIGGEST nerf hammer ever…it could be a fun build if it was rebalanced. but drop an A bomb on the multiplier, then wipe the Sims…
—Firebird: again, Blizz, whenever they go nerf-ing…just go to the extreme, cut the 2-pc, 4-pc, and 6-pc…like do they know what they are doing?!?
Thanks to the community that FB survived and not just back to a irrelevant set
More Ex:
–GOD nerf: GOD was NEVER competitive in the first place…as Wudijo showed, it has insane AEO (in extremely rare types like time bubble, IMO, if you are dedicated to get Rank 1 by time and effort, you deserve it. GOD has no RG damage, so at the end of the season it would not regain the crown.
***Yet blizz said the main reason was to prevent players from fishing for time bubbles…LAMO.
----This nerf, not only was not needed, probably set off a whole chain of instability of bugs, exploits, current momentum stacking…all to fix those pesty time bubbles.
BLIZZ: DONT GO OVERBOARD!!! YOU ARE NOW RICH FROM WHALES, TAKE TIME TO THINK ABOUT DOWNSTREAM EFFECTS!
You can actually re-balance it and not have to buff it later which is a pain.
DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST PLACE SO YOU CAN SAVE TIME!
Thanks
Sadly I dont think it is random.
That is Flavor of the Month. Not only do they need to make it balanced, they need to ensure that something else is now way better. So you get that “new flavor” this season. Awful design concept, but one that Blizzard seem to love.
Things are imbalanced on purpose.
Agreed.
Lol…Judgement to stack Stricken? I guess we can assume its not going to be best in class.
It seems this was just rushed out the door, we dont even know if the pet is going to do the damage, or the condem…do pet condem use your resource??
I dont mind that Akkan can be incorporated into a pet based build…
But I do mind that its being shoved down our throats that now you play Akkan our way…with pets.
A6I2 was very hard to do, playing of the COE cycle…idk now that pets are neccessary, if A6I2 can even play…smoothly…
Sorry, I want to clairfy.
I went over the way they phrase it over and over again.
I understand it as these “Crucibles” will make a normal legendary into a “Primal-like-ancient” BUT the stats on the item you used might be completely reforged again into 4 random stats.
–if you had main stat, CHC, CHD, CDR → Crucible → main stat, life regen, IAS, CHC (perfect)
I just wish they are clearly about what it actually does instead of using these catchy terms like “perfect”
Patch: "Sanctifying an item reforges it to have perfect Ancient-level stats on all affixes while also preserving the item’s Legendary Power. "
I have no idea what they mean, its catchy. But I wish they say what it does. ie: These Crucibles will reforce a normal legendary item into an Ancient will random stats that roll perfectly.
Im good. It means you have to farm more crucibles.
Im just tired of their use of the term “perfect”…Primals were suppose to be perfect “tailored to your class” [Ps. they didnt mention they want your follower to get some of the drops too]
The seasonal theme sounds so broken. Sign me up. Strafe spamming your Hatred spenders sounds so fun. HOTA in all directions? Yes please. Magic Missile taking up the whole screen? You didn’t even need to ask.
I am so confused on the Akkhan changes though… you call it a Knight Commander build… but it sounds like it’s really just a Condemn build. Tasker n Theo plus Archers, trigger as many Condemns as you can while buffing Condemn damage. Might be the weakest 2-piece bonus in the game. But that 4-piece sounds so powerful at least, assuming Blade and Frydehr and A6 buff the Archer Condemns like I assume.
And Judgment is thrown in there… not sure why. I considered Judgment a part of the Blessed Hammer set already because of the Belt… I guess that Falling Sword Belt never really became meta, but it now seems so pointless.
Maybe throw Justice in Akkhan instead?
(2) Judgment is cast on enemies hit by Justice. Judgment gains all runes.
(4) Attacks from Phalanx Avatars reduce the cooldown of Akarat’s Champion by 0.5 seconds, and also apply Condemn when attacking enemies that is affected by Judgment. Phalanx Avatars will attack in the direction your Justice is thrown.
I dunno… running in just to cast Judgment seems underwhelming while my Archers do all the damage seems underwhelming. I’d like something to cast along with summoning my Avatars.
You’ll probably want to go ahead and buff Guardian btw.
I’d say 100% might be a good number. Makes it a really good early game set. It’ll probably fall off later for Crimson still when everyone has 20k main stat, but at least a nice life and main stat boost early on will be something to get hyped about.
Right thanks for clarifying, sorry you are correct I completely misunderstood that they’ll reroll the stats too so essentially this is like reforging just with perfect leg affix, the other stats are just maxed stats that may or may not be perfect for the item. Spot on with word usage there.
NP. I agree with you
I wish Blizzard just use the proper terms to us players, instead of adding these pop catch phrases like “PERFECT STATS”, or “PERFECT ROLLS FOR END GAME”
Which gets everyone excited only just to find out…oh…you just mean we get 15 souls 1/1000 times. Thanks Blizz
I just want them to stop with these lies. We wont be angry if you tell us what they are…are get very angry and disappointed when the “perfect item” turns out to be…worthless.
I HOPPPPEEEE they take the lesson from this season, and rework Primals in the same way. Where “Primal Embers” are dropped instead of items, and we can choose to play with RNG and which item we can make actually POG Primal!
I hope after this, they will revamp the Primal items similar to these crucibles.
If you read the original patch notes, so many “perfect”, “tailored”, “end game” were thrown in of course we were expecting GG drops…and ended up with a lot of Primal Follower tokens…lol
But this crucible item to at least forge primal hopefully it gets adapted and we can stop getting "Primal Horadric Hamburgers:
Thank GOD!! EN is so toxic right now, bots are off the hook just to get EN, which they run with the owner…if they kept the EXP… NS will be destroyed
They should increase the drop rate to counter…otherwise those keys are basically useless. They should change either its reward, or make it as rare, and thats where the crucibles are dropped from
There are several cases where you can completely fit in the 3pc Guardian set without Ring of Royal Grandeur.
There is also a rinky dink setup to use with Fan of Knives.
Shadow [Gloves, Chest]
Crimson [Pants, Boots]
Aughild’s [Shoulders, Helm]
Guardian’s [Belt, Bracer]
The sad thing is that you can use Strongarms + Witching Hour to beat out this damage, without sacrificing a ring.
I cannot think of a use case for this set in standard 6pc setups.
Maybe a slight synergy with Heart of Iron…
Maybe it can help Followers survive better…
Something is off with it, not as juicy as Crimson or Aughild. It is a problem as we make equal sacrifices to equip it. As I think about it, we are in short supply of good items, why create new ones to avoid after a certain paragon threshold? If it increased your total Vit and Main Stat by 40% it’d be as worthy as Crimson.
I’d like to see more synergy for Guardian set bonuses.
Encourage players to use Regen affixes:
2pc: 100,000 Life per Second
3pc: Gain 2% damage per every 10,000 life per second. Your total life regeneration is reduced by 50%.
Mutilation Guard, Rogar’s Stone, Boots of Disregard, Brooding Passive, Boar Companion, Smoke Screen, Consecration, etc. All of this ignored stuff becomes purposeful.
Agreed. Guardian sets in the patch is lack luster…more raw numbers, no mechanics.
Since so many builds use Squirts no, that FoT is on the follower…
As “Guardian”, it would be cool to offer classes besides the Wizard to use a shield to protect the Squirt Buff.
Any melee class almost have no uptime, WD, DH (Fortress), Necro, Barb significantly much much harder time to keep the buff up.
Maybe
2pc: 100,000 LPS
3pc: gain a shield equal to a % of max health
**very basic, but i just wish other classes can have an option to use a shield if they want
Something, because after the follower re-vamp, its 100% Squirts/Travelers.
The way I read the notes it was “we’ll take whatever stats you have on the item and max those”. So if you have, say, a really nice pair of gloves with 9.5 CHC, 42 CHD, 905 main stat, and Resist All they’ll be 10.0 CHC, 50 CHD, 1000 main stat, and 130 Resist All. Then it’ll add the given Angelic property for your class. It won’t be like the cube trying to upgrade a legendary to an ancient and getting something worse.
