I think that we are late to request anything specific for next quarterly update. But there is more than one left for this year.
What do you want hear more about in near future?
I would love to hear about gathering and crafting for example. And how they are interconnected with other systems in the game. It might give us hints about endgame.
I would love to know more about endgame but I think it is still way too early for that kind of info. I also think that last class is already known and that it is going to be revealed next Blizzcon.
I’d like to know more about endgame too, specifically how the new keyed dungeons will work and how that system interacts with the limited respec in the game. Their example of having your character followed by a column constantly damaging you sounds a lot more annoying that exciting.
Reminds me of some of the terrible Danger Room mods that appeared in Marvel Heroes.
Another thing I hope to see is further iteration to legendary powers. The few legendary powers that I’ve seen feel a lot more like crap powers than legendary powers. Doesn’t help that legendary items have also been gutted to just having a legendary affix, instead of being an actual legendary item.
What role does crafting play and how involved is it? Will it be profession based, if so will you be limited like in MMOs, or can you learn them all like in TES games?
Trading rules for non tradeable and one time tradeable items.
More about gems, shards, rune wards, crafting, unrevealed skills, druids special ability, what is the new version of the paragon system, what is the new version of the cube, how will the lore work in the open world?
“The number of times you can do this will be unlimited, but it won’t be free. It will be easy to do when you first start a character; as your character grows, the effort and cost required to respec will grow too. In the end-game, changing your build will require a significant investment, to appropriately match the time and effort you’ve put into defining your character.”
I want to know more about gems too, Specifically how many they plan to use and what stats they give. I would like to see these gems, sapphire(blue), ruby(red), emerald(green), topaz(yellow), amethyst(purple), garnet(orange), diamond(white), onyx(black), skull.
They’ll be unlimited in the sense that you won’t have a limit on the number of respecs, but having a cost to respec means that there is another limit to it.
Basically monsters and loot are top of my list right now. Making sure the enemies feel interesting and fresh with cool new affixes on elites. Followed by reworking some item affixes and ranges, plus what we can expect to see for drop rates and the overall loot hunt.
These things are two of the biggest pillars in Diablo. Presentation is another huge pillar, but so far they are doing a pretty good job with that, even if some enemy designs leave a bit to be desired, the overall tone is very good.
Skill Tree - as in whether or not there’s more skills to be added, along with whether each upgrade node works for the other stats instead of mostly the primary stat, for example have upgrade nodes for Whirlwind that pertains to Intelligent and Willpower along with strength and dexterity.
Endgame content besides Key Dungeons - Will there be other viable and/or challenging endgame activities to run, such as exploring the overworld and completing repeatable side quests, repeating the campaign at a higher difficulty. I know there’s camps and world bosses/events, however from the sounds of it, they’re either time based and/or non-repeatable.
Correct. Having a cost to respec doesn’t make it limited. As long as a person can respec no matter how many times they’ve done it previously, then they have unlimited respecs. The only difference is that the respecs are no longer free.
When people say “limited respec” , they mean limited by the number of times you can do it. If you can always pay some amount to respec, then it is unlimited respec. Now if the cost can get so high it is not possible to hold the amount of gold to pay for the respec, then it is indeed limited.
But not limited by the number of times that you could do it, which is what most folks refer to when they say unlimited. For example I’d consider Diablo 2 respec system to be unlimited as long as you have tokens, which isn’t hard to amass with enough time and effort. What you’re asking for is a unlimited and free respec system, which is what Diablo 3 had.
People can debate the definition of the word unlimited all they want. What I want to know is what is the cost, they never said gold. Maybe at higher levels we need to give something up to respec.
No, they never did state the specifics of the cost cost. So it could be gold, or a special item (similar to token) that must be farmed and/or craft, or even something else entirely. The only thing we know, is that the cost grows as you level, so a low level player wouldn’t have to pay as much as a maxed level character. So more info would be welcomed in that regard, however it’s not part of my top list of things that I’d want to know currently.
They’ve already confirmed that respec is possible, and you can do it as many times as you want (at a cost), and as such that’s enough for me.
