In before the announcement is a Diablo: Immortal DLC pack or expansion plan.
I’ll remain skeptical until announcement this time. They ruined all hype with last years diabolical failure. Plus unless something is rushed or nearly complete, a D4 release will still at the very least be a year off (most likely not until 2021 or 2022).

Even if it does come out, my concern remains: The company that exists today is “Blizzard” in name only, and I sincerely doubt they are capable of delivering the game the fans deserve anyway.
My sincerest hopes that I’m dead wrong here.

Trouble is a great game for you might only be a so so game for me. Hard to get everybody on the same page game wise. We can only hope.

Everybody now, after all the happenings of the last years, is a harsh critic to blizzard and their actions, in game and outside of them. That’s not the point of the discussion and certainly not a reason to refrain from making D2 better, not only graphic wise.
It’s stupid to call any change to D2 as a D3 lite, as the 2 games are VASTLY different at their core.
Doing QOL changes, won’t make D2 into D3. Adding new content like some new zone, or items, or some balance changes where the community asks for it, won’t make D2 into D3.
My personal take, is that it can come right away with some QOL changes, that can be easily activated or not from the game configurations menu, like choosing if to play it classic, or with the improvements, this way everybody will choose what to activate and how to play the game.
I really hope D2 remaster is like WC3 Reforged, with a complete graphical revamp.

Let’s assume, for a second, they announce D4 next month. I can see 2 scenarios. Either it was almost ready last year and, will be released in a few months. More likely it’s more than a year away. I highly doubt blizz will release it near the release of wows next expansion and the last few have been released in Aug. Don’t get your hopes up yet.
It was rumored last year that they pulled any info from D4 from blizzcon because they had nothing to show. I’ve no way of verifying any of this is true but even if it is… still not enough time to finish a game like that. If it is “finished” its been rushed but I hope they learn how to get in touch with their fans and create masterpieces like they once did.
My hope is they go back and remaster D2 while relearning the magical formula that made diablo such a great game. Its sink or swim time for them. I am an older fan of blizzard games, cant imagine the younger crowd having this much patience with the company or even caring for that matter.

Let’s not forget that if they remaster Diablo 2, they are going to design it so it works on console also.

What if developers are implementing those new contents and changes (Rift/GR, bounty, multiple difficulties, power creep, increase drop rate and so on) from D3 into D2 remaster? Wouldn’t that will make D2 remaster a D3 lite if that happened?

The gigabotch of last year and this year’s political stance pretty much killed every excitement I had about the game. I cannot in good sense spend money for whatever they announce.
If someone gets it for me or I somehow come upon it then yeah but no money of my own is going to Activision anymore. Made a promise to myself that it would end with Spyro and I intend to hold myself to that.

Can we all just agree that Diablo 4 will be a terrible game, and that D2 remastered should be their sole focus…

There is absolutely no way blizzard will put out 3 games at once, all to do with diablo. It’s stupid for business and nobody will know wtf to do because they want to binge playing a game but torn between choosing between 3… we all know u have to be dedicated to the grind but u can’t do that between 3 games and be good at it… at the very most i think they will release diablo immortal for mobile and d2 remastered for the pc ppl so they don’t have to complain. I think they will say we are now going to start working on d4 in the meantime play these. I mean d3 isn’t as dead as you think they keep updating it so I think some will play that others will try d2 remastered and many will do the mobile when they’re on the go.

This will fade away in less than a month. Diablo actually needs a lot more to keep its players busy until D4 release in 2021.

What we’re not gonna do is remove trading or make it like D3 lol. Trading was a huge part of D2 back in the day. Making trade games and/or spamming the trade channels lol. Who cares if people use D2jsp. I’m way more concerned with bots. Blizzard needs to really target bots, but I don’t know if they can even do it seeing how many people here are always complaining about bots in D3.
