They invited the guy with the biggest numbers who plays a non-modded version.
Though the problem is, this guy is also a speedrunner, speedrunners don’t even make up a fraction of the 1%. He has a craft and that craft does not translate to an enjoyable experience to the overall community.
I like dbrunski’s views a lot more and just generally respect him more as a player. He’s more entertaining to watch for me and a LOT more respectful than mrllama.
i get the feeling mrllama sometimes are not sure what he wants, ive seen on videos/streams where he would like for an example: a charm inventory and maybe some other minor things that he sometimes otherwise are against.
just like everyone else, everyone is kinda making things up because neither side of this knows for sure what a majority wants.
I would say we do not know with 100% certainty what the majority wants about everything; however, the reddit survey definitely gives us a sense of the more-widely agreed upon changes among >4,000 respondents who self-reported playing D2.
Often the percentage I have seen quoted are from the reddit survey that was advertised there, on the D2R forum, d2jsp, and Rhykker’s youtube channel. This has >4,000 respondents where 99% self-reported to be D2 players. Although this poll has selection and sampling bias, it is by far the largest “published” survey and its numbers still inform.
You have to decide for yourself whether the final poll result was fabricated or not. I know factually that a statement I made ended up in the 86 page comment section. I also know by looking at the comments and their writing style that many, many unique individuals did in fact make comments.
Intellectually, their was a clear stratification of yes/no votes that correlates well with how divisive each change is in comparison to D2R forums across the internet. So you can doubt the results; however, I do not nor does most including at least 3 popular streamers. The streamers may have different views but none question the authenticity of the poll results.
So basically, you took a comment I made about people constantly making up numbers, provided a situation where the number was not made up, and then used to that argue people don’t make up numbers.
First, I answered this two-part question. It literally stated 99% self-reported to be D2 players. MrllamaSC has in his video a thing about this and wonders why about 40 some people are commenting if they never played D2. It is also in one of the first slides in the results PDF.
True. However, in this case, it appears the reddit poll results are authentic.
I never claimed that people do not make up numbers. I specifically and explicitly was commenting on the reddit poll. Nowhere in my response did I talk about forum members honesty in making up numbers.
You’re not making any sense. My original comment, not directed at you, has nothing to do with some survey you keep telling me about.
I didn’t dispute your 99% comment, yet here you go arguing that you are right. Again, what does this have to do with my comment THAT WAS NOT even addressed to you.
I get the suspicion that you just feel the need to comment on everything. If that is the case, try to stay on topic, make your argument relevant to the post you are replying to, and don’t hijack the subject.
I asked a question. In the next reply I did not dispute your claim that the number is accurate. Then you kept arguing about its accuracy.
And again, it was an example you used, when my comment was about these forums in general. And then you decided to die on that hill instead of replying with relevant statements.
You are selective quoting only part of my response and not the full thing. I clearly responded to your point that this fact does not change what you said overall about forum honesty with numbers.
