D4 Internal testing has begun. BETA SOON!?

I would be interested to see how many pre-ordered it already since i have my pre-order receipt from a legit game store.

Wait, you can preorder D4 now?

You could from a uk game store. It was linked to the first announcement of D4 at Blizzcon.

Beta is not even out yet and: Angela “So we are not going to support an Offline Mode.” Even people who participate in the Diablo Hell’s Ink event receive a digital copy of D4. Fans who decide to get decorated with one of 26 available tattoo motives will also get Beta Early Access and a digital copy of Diablo IV upon release! You would think that if anyone was going to get a box set it would be them. I am not sure what the UK game store is selling. You can sign up for a chance it get into the D4 beta. Complete nonsense. This is one of the most stupid things I’ve ever heard tbh.

There was a teen oriented show years ago in my country where some guy made himself a tattoo to get 50 euro. It’s a good example of NOT COOL:

Stupid people do stupid things.

I played d3 before it was released and I was a nobody. Their beta was act 1.

Think D3 beta was up to Skeleton King, remember doing Skellie runs to get “good” gear lol

In that case the stupid thing is the promotion. Many young people do tattoo mistakes and later seek studios to remove these. This should not be stimulated in such a way. There are countless better ways to gift beta keys to Diablo community members (or random folks if that’s the intention).

I missed the days when PC games come in Big S boxes with manual & some goodies thrown in.

I remembered the days of bringing the D2 manual & reading the lore on the bus/train on my way to school.

Tattoos are outdated! Should offer beta keys to people who surgically gets a stone inserted into their foreheads.

I don’t know, it seems that they need to record themselves shoving the stone right into their forehead in order to qualify for beta keys. /s

Last time I bought a physical copy of a game was in 2005, ended up throwing that away as the disks didn’t read so had to download it digitally anyway. Can’t say I miss physical copies at all.

I sure dont miss the boxes, but I do miss manuals. I sometimes buy Physical Collectors Editions, especially if they have some book in there, but eh, they just stand there collecting dust.

I still have my “Official Strategy Guide” for Diablo, by John K Waters, 1997. Plus, the “Ultimate Strategy Guide” for D2 by Bart G Franks, 2001. Along will all of the smaller booklets. Now with the internet these types of books get dated very fast.

Physical guide books are useless for games like Diablo due to patches & updates.

But artbooks & lore always nice to have. I have many artbooks of my favorite games, likw warcraft, diablo, halo, mass effect. I also like to collect artbooks/postcard, posters from museums as well.
