The reason this discussion is still alive is it strikes to the nature of these games and why people play them.
Point of fact is that most entertainment is generally for getting us a way from our everyday problems and situations. It allows us to go places we cannot, be people we cannot be and do the impossible.
Why are most of the famous TV and Movie stars very beautiful with amazing physical appearances?
The point of these games is to allow us to experience magic, and abilities , places and situations that are not ours in our mundane lives.
So it is reasonable for any modern game to have the choices of body type, height, weight, eye color, and so on. There is no real argument that it is somehow not possible to do. It is too prevalent in game industry to think that somehow this is not possible here.

Definitely possible. More a question of whether it should be in a game or not. Still fairly certain that the vast majority of games out there do not have any character customization, and for those that do, most of them have no or very limited body shape customization.
In any case, most characters in games are meant to be someone, a character created by people developing a story, world, person. Seems quite reasonable that this character has some characteristics defined as part of who they are. Even in those games where you can change their hair color.
OK, I am changing my mind on the whole thing.
I downloaded and played for a short while. The design and graphics Really remind me of the original Baldur’s Gate.
While reminding of that game, I am sure it has more advanced stuff, but overall not bad. I had fun playing for the 1 hour I tried it.
