D4 female Druid

Elder Scroll is a good example of the difficulties that differently shaped and sized characters might bring. With clipping issues on gear, hair etc., and character meshes not fitting.

It is certainly doable to reach a decent level of quality. More a matter of whether it is worth it. The time and money could be spent on making more monsters, more item designs etc.

i have only been into modding a littlebit
while manipulating armor textures can even be done by a simple noob like me
body model editing isn’t even a thing in the games i modded
you can manipulate normal textures to create illusions of different shapes but the actual model is a different beats. i have done some blender but not put any models in games myself.

That was WoW in a nutshell. Think of the beards and horns and bones and other body parts that poked out of helms and other armor pieces. Or shoulders not fitting on some races, you can see the gap between the shoulder and the armor, it looked like it was floating there. Other races, manly Human and Orc, the armor fit perfectly and looked good too.

But that game had many issues with esthetics. I would think with today’s technology it could be done. Then again, it’s not my field, so I don’t know. I would love for a GG coder/programmer to explain ‘in stupid/simple term/language’ so that I can at least have a vague idea as to w/t/f they are talking about.

some mmorpgs simply scale armors and even weapons to the character height
but for some reason arpgs just dont do that

I’ve seen some nice modding. I toyed around with some in D2 well after WoW’s launch. One was a Baldur’s Gate mod. That was just crazy nuts. Necros had invisible skeleton mages. Of course after many hours on Grim Dawn playing the original content, I toyed around with some of the mods, especially the D3 one.

There were issues here and there, but nothing major like a game crash or anything. I can understand, in that regard, you pretty much are ‘changing’ the game and that can lead to some issues, especially some builds being OP as all f and some being absolutely pathetic.

I like options. Maybe they work, maybe they don’t. I won’t know until I give them a try. I still have one mod I haven’t used for GD yet. But, I am waiting till I take a long D3 break before I try it out. It requires me to start from scratch, I wont have any access to previous characters since the mod completely overrides all other. Or in this case it a choice between that one and another, can’t have both. They would cancel each other.

in sacred 2 i pretty much remade a whole class with new skills etc. xD
the modding is pretty easy so you can add new skill icons, animations and sounds
was fun

“Hot” is subjective. Maybe we don’t all like Twiggy the Skeleton where the bra is worn backwards because shoulder blades are more pronounced than cleavage.

Dude, you didnt just say that? There is a reason males are attracted to a certain body/looks type. And yes we do have exceptions, but in general there is a scientific explanation why men like well shaped women. Same goes for women liking a well build man.
Lets cut this out, its just plain stupid.

That aside, we do need body sliders and more options for character customization. Its a miss given this is aiming to be am MMO

Males can be attracted to various body types. There are some men/women who LOVE heavier people.

I do think it’s weird when people start wanting their character to be “hot”. Whenever I read that, the first thing that pops in my head is “You need to download Tinder…”

Guess I won’t be making a druid.

Blizzard prefers to pander to the general population by following trends.

It’s the same reason why the amazon had such big boobs in D2 back in 2000. It’s because big boobs were trendy back then, now they’re not. Now it’s “cool” to enable people into whatever lifestyle they want because we live in a “Do what YOU want” world instead of a “Do what’s right” world.

How do you figure it’s not? If we’re talking about physical and not diving in the “inner beauty” hole, it’s completely up to each person what they think is beautiful by what they’re attracted to. Not every person has to be a magazine model to be considered beautiful.

Night Elves say hi. :stuck_out_tongue:

Should have seen this woke body claptrap coming with D2R,
Faty Druid, Black Paladin with afro, chubby Assasin, Old man weak Barbarian, and the Fugly William Dafoe gender fluid Amazon.
Look how woke and inclusive we are, none of our characters look remotely attractive or athletic.
Its like shopping at Wallmart.

Nah female druids are supposed to look like Goldmoon from Dragonlance.

Exactly why the game should allow for character customization. If you are fine with the default, great, but allow players to make those choices. It is available in most modern games.

I also want a buff in shape male. Instead I get a fat man who wouldn’t survive well in the wilderness as he wouldn’t be able to run without getting winded. Their faces are gross too. I don’t like facial hair, but I will take it over fat, drooping jowls. Most of the body tattoos are useless as they are obscured by their body hair.

Well, animals and nature are optimized to live in a specific environment through the seasons, I can hardly imagine a girl/women who dedicate her whole existence to this be a Vanity Fair high light
A hot chick as character class in D4 would be a Dryad (wood/forest/swamp nymph), that’s close from the Druid but fairly different. As stated years ago by the dev team, D4 moves away from high fantasy.

Anyhow, funny post, it reminds me a post about the D4 Necromancer cinematic, was the female necromancer beautiful? it’s all a matter of perspective.

Im really glad they have a chunky woman char. As a big girl my self its so nice to see. We always have twigs in most games so I’ve been enjoying playing her so much. Its so nice to see more realistic sizes. I was kinda sad that the necromancer is practically an ironing board. One step at a time I suppose.

Blizzard doesnt let me feel included, as an extremely hot petite female am i not allowed to play druid? Why no Yoga pants option for armors? are you saying they didnt exist? in a fantasy world? i literally just watched men in tights just now, they had yoga pants in the same era that these other armors existed.

:rage: :rage: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

The one who approve this fatty woman druid should fry him from blizzard asap…
I have no intention to play it after the female druid character screen pop up…
come on man… who want a ugly character ???
of course someone may love it but I don’t … give us a choice at least :frowning:
I can’t believe it happen on 2023 game design… What the F…

The Druid women are all big fat mamas

I don’t think it’s necessarily wrong, you’d just need a few more faces and customization options when creating them to make them a bit softer of body shape and prettier of facial features.

But it is good that you can also miss glowing eyes in the human form as a who-creature skill.
