Thud is cheating and anybody who does it deserves a lifetime blizzard ban.
BLIZZARD PLEASE start banning cheaters for using the turboo overlay
Look guys, this game is what crossing into a decade of play.
I donât use turbohud and never had. Iâve come close to installing it several times because the end game pushing community depends on it for map knowledge and grouping of monsters.
At one time I could play 14 hours a day and keep up and be dps and not worry about being the person needing turbohud. Then bots became more and more prevalent and outstripped my real play time.
So then I had to play the zds position and often was asked if I ran turbohud, I have to admit I lied a few times to get into groups.
How sad is that? I had to lie I ran turbohud to run on a group?
As most of you know, I started t 6 legit which turned into exp grifts etc and the end game community at the beginning of ros.
Once we got ladders and faux competiton happened turbohud and botting just destroyed the legit players.
Iâm a byproduct of this thud and botting fiasco.
But at the same time, itâs been almost been 10 years.
Not enough has or was been done. It wonât be changing and that is the reality of it.
When I migrated to overwatch, I learned one very important thing. The only change you can count on is yourself.
So deal with it on your level and make peace with it as everything else around you is a fixed constant or variable you donât have control over.
Ggs.
Tldr: live with it / deal with it / adjust yourself
It is cheating. One of the main things that make a greater rift challenge, is the fact that you donât know beforehand where the elite packs and shrines are located. If you do a challenge rift, itâs very likely that your second attempt will be much faster than the first one because you will have more information about the map. A maphack gives you ALL the information about the map and will give a GR pusher an unfair advantage on the leaderboards.
I donât think there s any argument of cheating.
It may be about how bad it is that matters. Since the rng of the rift and your gear / build is so much more important than what thud provides you, it probably isnât being seen as a major problem.
To me itâs a social issue and grouping problem at end game push communities and clans, which is a bigger deal.
Thud in itself may influence your clear time by maybe 10% maybe at best a grift level at the very top.
10% is a lot in my opinion
Thatâs 10% after the rng above. So in taking all cases, and where it matters.
First, do you have the right gear and do you have the right build.
Then is does the map have
The right mobs
The right density
The right size and layout
The right order of pylons.
The right rg.
Then after that how did turbohud apply at the end of that.
Itâs 10 percent on something that actually matters to the d3 team.
BAN DÄ°ABLO 3 guys fast pls
May soon be a moot point. Looks like TurboHUD will no longer be supported, at least by the original developer.

Looking at who took over its development, I have a gut feeling that THud will be a pure cheat engine soon. I mean, if it was a gray area before and had its questionable features removed (maphack feature appeared for a short while and removed back at 2016 or so) once, most likely these features will make a comeback.
Good part is, if that were to apply Blizzard will ban anyone using the new paid THud and will add it to their blacklist straight away, no matter what features they use.
LOLz :DD:D:D:D:DD u belive that?
I checked the site that John passed development to. It was linked at THud forums on his own post and itâs a rather shady bot site.
It was a free addon, now itâs a paid software, of course new development would add some questionable things under extra. Plus whoever John passed development is pretty vague about what the new paid THud features are. If thereâs a questionable cheat overlay, then Blizzard will simply blacklist it because developer also plans for turning this to a bot addon.
No idea whatâs that about.
I have used THud and NOT used THud. Currently I donât. So ban me for my admission to previous guilt.
After reading all the crap about this issue of THud I realize one significant thing. Everyoneâs concern is NOT about player experience, itâs about competition.
I could care less about leaderboards, who is higher than me, is my time faster than someone elseâs, etc. I play for MY EXPERIENCE and enjoyment. I enjoy playing in groups. What a friend is using or not doesnât matter to me. I just enjoy his or her company in the game. We donât play to beat others into submission (except monsters).
Consider your own playing experience. If using an augment of some sort gives you satisfaction thatâs up to you. If your sole reason for playing is competition, complain all you want, but donât confuse the difference.
As for Blizzard, I thinks itâs clear. They are more concerned about player experience than about leaderboard competition. Although, at the top of LBs, they have to walk a fine line.
How about this? If they can track âcheatersâ and ban them, how much more would public notice of such players in-game be if they simple affixed a small notice to such players next to their name for all to see? Then the community could denounce and flame them.
All games have rules, card games, board games, sports and even video games. Someone makes the game and makes the rules. If you choose to ignore the rules or go outside the rules, you are cheating. The ones who make the rules are the only ones who can change the rules, (even tho thats not a good idea). Just because you pay a fee for the right to play the game does not mean you actually own it. Blizz stated no 3rd party programs, regardless if you think its better, if its not part of the game and they donât allow addons and 3rd party, then you are cheatingâperiod.
Well said and I 100% agree wit you buddy.
Turbohud IS cheating and should be permanently bannable.
I have never tried THUD with fear of being banned, but from what I have read about it, it is only an overlay which is similar to ones you can download for most games. I use an overlay for Skyrim and Fallout 4, which is a huge help and improvement over the factory, not in any ways cheating. The thing is though that these games are not competitive as they are solo play only. For Diablo 3, it may be an advantage for players to use THUD over those that do not, so I am on the fence with this.
Itâs an overlay which displays many things which you are not supposed to see during normal gameplay. Thatâs big difference to other overlays in other games.
Technically the examples of other games you gave are cheating too but since theyâre pure singleplayer games, it doesnât matter.
In a competetive game you are supposed make due with the tools given and not to use anything extra.
THud+bot can be disable at this moment. Blizz only need to change\disable API
But money⌠money is a problemâŚ
