No I implied that people would simply get free loot by hiding in a corner and not fighting for anything, where as shared loot they have to risk dying to grab stuff.
No you butted in and incorrectly assumed some crap without reading the conversation I was in, and now you look silly sitting here with egg on your face.
Do they? In shared loot they still can hide somewhere and loot that doesnât get pick up will sit there. Split loot and you wonât get any loot when you donât contribute or not even in the area. In PoE item drop is only triggered by proximity of players too and itâs instanced. Do you think PoE rewards leeching?
That kinda assumptions wonât lead you anywhere. Play other games, different than of D2.
Itâs the same thing with FFA loot , (even tho i saw nobody doing that in all those years iâve been playing diablo 2)âŚ
But the worse thing with FFA loot is that the leecher/bot might also get all the lootâŚand you get nothing⌠at least with Personal/Instanced loot you always get something.
Itâs still loot, thatâs a straw argument. D2 stremers toss away unique items on the ground for free because they have much better items but those still get sold for cents in ebay.
Follow a bot game and you wonât get any loot in shared system and youâre talking about risks.
You started to sound weird. Before you were talking about how glorious the shared loot system is and now youâre trying to dismiss the no risk approach for leeching? Duping caused all that devaluation where you can buy any low grade item for mere cents and youâre scared of shared loot.
Thatâs kinda pathetic.
Sure⌠PoE , Grim Dawn , Last Epoch (will have it confirmed by a dev) , Wolcen , D3 , Torchlight series⌠and every single aRPG , looter shooter , MMORPG have personal/instanced loot nowadaysâŚ
So iâm pretty sure they are gonna find a way to implement it perfectly balanced and fine⌠and we are talking about the VV guys⌠who did a really good job with Tony Hawk 1/2 and Crash Bandicoot remakesâŚ
And it will be completely fine if itâs a toggleable feature before a host creating a game to choose which loot system he wantsâŚ
ps. and in PoE which has 3 loot systems⌠the most popular online is Personal/Instanced loot btwâŚ
Huh? Ok dude Iâm muting you now because you clearly have no idea whatâs going on and keep replying to my posts with really oddball takes about what you think I saidâŚ
I just replied what you wrote and mentioned short comings of the system. You havenât mentioned any virtue of shared loot system either. In instanced loot system, you canât even do that sort of leeching by waiting somewhere else. When youâre trying to leech away items from others thatâs not a hard thing to do when playing as the tank or melee character either.
Try to play another game other than D2, then youâll see whatâs the deal and why so many people also want split loot. Clicking faster shouldnât give you any sense of self-worth when the thing you swooped merely worth cents to start with and it doesnât worth any risks at all at the first place.
By the fact of bots sweeping out loot in shared loot runs, Iâm not entitled to like bots or have to support this sort of gameplay in public games. If you want the thrill of sweeping away loot, you can do that as a melee tank but when compared to bots, you have nothing.
To be honest, more than 5 or 10 seconds wouldnât be my preference, but so long as it was optional and you could clearly see in the Lobby what the game creator had set it to, I wouldnât mind.
so what you say is ALL people cheats? i played this game 15-20k hours. i NEVER seen a pickit bot in game.i always get loot. you just need to push left mouse thats it. but if thats to hard.
play solo ther is personal loot all the time. but agian you have to push left mouse to get itemsâŚ
Didnât claim all. Reading comprehension is your friend. Side note, just because you didnât experience it doesnât mean it didnât happen, nor wasnât prevalent.
and can you tell me⌠in 8 player game with ploot. who wil get items from a boss? if diablo only drops 6 items. do somone get 5 items and rest non? cant you see the problem here? if its called personal loot and you dont get anything, how can it be personal?
Ive stated this a dozen times already, but, if 5 items drop a random roll for each item happens. 1 person could get all 5 and 7 can get nothing. You are wrongly focusing on the personal part of the name personal loot. I never said everyone should get loot. Ive stated that everything should remain the same other than the FFA aspect. So if 8 items drop that doesnât meant everyone gets 1. It could happen, as 1 player can get all 8.
The only thing that changes is the loot is randomly distributed instead of bots and quicker reflexes or closer positions nabbing it all first.
This is not a problem. That is exactly how it works with shared loot as well.
Personal loot might be a bad name for it indeed.
It simply means that the loot is randomly distributed between players. Reserving each item for one player.
