Cow King event... remove the penalty

Just saying, seeing as we’re going for full QoL here… I wanna be able to not worry about killing the Cow King or some random doing it… make the event infinite.

Spawning cow level post-king kill

Several have posted in D2 Resurrected about losing the ability to spawn cow level. I haven’t played D2 for a number of years. There was a method to this madness. The QoL they want makes the game easier. I thought that as long as you hadn’t quested Baal that difficulty, you can’t lose the ability to spawn; that is, until you have quested Baal. Allow cow level to be made post-King kill

Edit: Tweet confirmed cow king can now be slain and still open the portal. Congrats to everyone here, we did it! As the title suggests, I’d like to advocate for a #change here. In Diablo 2, when the Cow King is killed, everyone inside the Cow Level is instantly blacklisted on that character from ever creating a Cow Level again on that difficulty. I wish I knew the design philosophy behind this code, seems like a bad design in my opinion, given that the Diablo 2 end-game is all repeat farm…

Yeah are they changing it to be endless or no?

We don’t know if they are, but I hope they do. It makes sense to change it cause you can get around the penalty by making it on a different character and rejoining.
