Reading some of the posts I’m starting to believe being young, attractive and fearsome at the same time is some how offensive.
No offense to anyone but Amazon looks ugly. She looks like a he almost with bad skin. I don’t know what they were going for. Druid looks like a homeless man and barbarian looks like he stopped lifting.
What gives?

The difference is there isn’t a toggle where I CAN type and see the word @ss. In D2R I CAN toggle and see all the pixelated body parts I want.
I was trying to relate it to a type of media where someone would say “man I really want to see thighs and @ss right now, what should I do?” Can we be honest and say that your first thought isn’t “play diablo 2”?
Because if that is your first thought, boy do I have a treat for you. You can open up your options menu and click that little toggle option anytime you need to fulfill that requirement. Because Blizzard didn’t remove it from the game- because it isn’t censorship.

And Im not talking in circles. I explained that there are plenty of places for you to view pixelated thighs and @ss. That this vocal minority chooses to focus on this specific detail is telling. Why not focus on making the Amazon’s breastplate monochromatic red to be more like the original? Why not focus on how there are shared stash tabs, unlike the original? Curious.

I don’t care enough to try and fight back against the folks that want to see more censorship in games and media though. Keep up the good fight man, I gave it up a while back. If it is bad enough in a game I just don’t play it nowadays.

Not showing outrage over minor changes isn’t “wanting more censorship” in the same way that allowing players to see whichever version they want isn’t censorship.

I took it from your comment that you don’t play it because of censorship, I misread the ‘if’, my mistake.
AAh. fair enough. It bugs me a little, but as I said in my first post on this thread it is not bad enough to actually annoy so badly that I don’t want to play the game.
Most of the time I am zoomed out and not paying that much attention to what my character looks like in D2.

I prefer realistics in computer games, so i’m happy with the character models.
From a battle hardned amazon i don’t expect to look like an anime barbie.
I would prefer a ‘Gina Carano’-Amazon over a ‘Gal Gadot’-Amazon.

I agree. Blizzard/Vicarious Visions toned down sex appeal for Amazon. Barbarian, on the other hand, just looks flat, not too muscular, compared to the original 2D sprites which still looks better. I hope they’ll improve 3D character models for final product.
