Character models haven't been fixed

if the artwork and detail of characters and models didnt affect the game, why play a remaster? D2 is already out, its been out for 20 years.

This isn’t censorship. Want to see thigh and @ss? Play with legacy settings, they’re still there (or ya know, look at pornography.) They didn’t remove anything, they designed the models to fit the remaster. Censorship would be the government telling Actiblizzard that they MUST remove thigh/@ss from the legacy settings. This is an art team remastering a game. Learn the difference.

Amazon was and still is my favourite character but in this beta every time I login into the game I was thinking why they made her so ugly. I will still play ama but I’m upset that they did this and don’t understand why

Do you guys play with the zoom in settings? With armor and helm I don’t even notice the look of the characters.

No changes are going to happen with any of them. sHuCkS!

have just been playing for most of the day. i like the graphics around the chars. but to me and some of the comments i’ve seen around the web. it seems the chars of the game have all aged to around 50+ it doesn’t fit the original artstyle of the game. if it was d4 i wouldn’t bother. but these models have to fit into d2 timeframe NOT d4. if you want a more realistic looking and experienced barb, wait for d4. but for us that loved d2. why age the char models past their prime. a comment i read about the Barb looks " it looks like the original Barb could slap the D2r barb around all day" and the Amazon just looks like a man.
FIX the char models. for me the rest really looks fine. at least up and into act 2

ama, more specifically java uses the griffon so not a solution with the full helmet

The amazon looks very manly. :frowning:

They all look like bums and have such an un-confident look on their face. Like an “I gave up years ago” look.

D2 Amazon players be like “make her look like this please”

Or they could just make her look like what she used to look like?

She looked like barbie with balloons on her chest

And that’s what she should look like in a remaster.

No thanks, if I wanted the original I’d play the original, it’s still an option. The remaster looks far more battle-hardened and fits the dark aesthetic of diablo

She looks less capable than the previous one. She looks defeated. Not sure what you are talking about. Just because her jaw line puts mine to shame doesn’t mean she looks tough.

She doesn’t look defeated in any way. The original puts her head low too, it’s the same pose.

her facial expressions are completely different though. No confidence.

It’s not even about the jawline. There are women with sharper features, like a Robin Wright type, but they still do look obviously female. But at most angles the Amazon looks straight up like a man’s face was Photoshopped on to a woman. Something’s just inherently wrong about the overall structure. Clashes pretty bad when you hear the voice too.

I honestly don’t care about any changes they made to the clothing and body compared to the face. The face is super jacked up.

The original didnt have a facial expression. The remaster is stoic and streadfast. Her armor is better quality and looks harder where as the original looked like red latex covering her chest. Out of the two I’d for sure send the remaster to slay demons before the classic version

Does it really matter who you would send to fight demons anyways? If this was super realistic, we wouldn’t be sending women to fight demons period. Active combat is still like 99.9% men. It’s a fantasy RPG and she is fine looking the way she was intended to look.
