Everyone including streamers such as wudijo are all confused as to why this start date is 2nd april?

-the content added for season 23 was nerfed so hard into the ground it’s worse than previous sets.

-some have taken time off work including myself to time around the schedule of 9th of April.

-no season theme, not even a cheesy double goblin or bounties for no reason?

-time during season 22 was so long and we get literally nothing what so ever content wise, season theme wise, or a reason wise.

Please change the date to a logical start time, add some previous generic theme for at least something, rewind abit of the nerfs to firebirds and bonespirit

Did Blizzard ever say that it would start on the 9th? It was all fan speculation that turned out to be bogus.

Firebird probably did get over nerfed, which is a shame.

But the season content is the buff to followers.

Season start date is always a guess.

It’s an educated guess, but go by last 12 seasons and it’s 2 weeks after end date

Sorry this has happened to you. But didn’t something similar happened recently? Like, only 2 seasons ago or something. Scratch that. I think it was around the time when pandemic started, or the season after. Season start must’ve been delayed or something as I remember someone complaining about the same thing, that they took a time off work for the season start and got screwed.

Doubt season start will be delayed though, as Blizz has their own schedule to keep.

So go back and change your leave time . It’s not blizz fault you speculated of accept a late start . It’s just a game

Blizzard specifically stated that in future seasons that the new season would not start the same week as the end of the previous season. Thus why everyone assumed the new start date would be April 9th or 16th. The last season started right at the same time as the release of WoW’s new expansion and despite having the best content to date in my opinion, we had very little time playing with our friends. Now, Blizzard is violating their previous statement and aligning this release with a major holiday weekend so I’ll miss it altogether. On top of this while I was excited to see that the followers were being overhauled, I was hoping the followers would be active at all times like in D2, but instead it is the only buff for season 23 and it is the first time Blizzard is promoting single-player over group meta ever that I can recall. I am just hoping that the start date is pushed back a week as I love to play for two days straight opening weekend and have only ever missed it once previously when I had significant travel planned…

I said assumptions, as in about the season start date before it was announced.

Making plans on someone else’s timetable is plain stupid. And there you have it.

Season 22 ends CW12 and Season 23 starts CW13. Or is that different in US? Does your week start on Sundays?

This is why some people (including myself), assumed April 9th would be the most likely date. As it turns out, it isn’t the case, and it’s April 2nd for Season 23. But this “fan speculation” was based on Blizzard’s previous communication (and April 2nd is in contrast to this communication, hence why some people are surprised and caught off guard).

How is this the season content when it gonna stay in game in both modes, Season and Non-Season ?

I for one am pleasantly surprised that it is a week early and starting on 4/2. This is the one thing Blizz got right for this season.
Since there is no season theme if they had dropped the patch on 3/30 and waited until 4/9 the season numbers would have been lower since a fair bit of people would have gotten their fix of the new mechanic on their more powerful NS characters and been much less inclined to really grind in seasons.
