Well technically it will be Saturday in Australia, so 3 days…but same thought applies

April 2 is fine for me but if it change to april 9 i wont mind.
But i hardly believe they will change it.
I like the April 2nd start date! There is absolutely no point in waiting an extra week before starting the new season.

Are you upset because the Dev’s are more efficient this time around?
Or because it’s easter and people won’t be able to play…when they are at home for a long weekend?

My argument wasn’t just one thing.
Easter, game launches, devs lying about changing the schedule about end and start dates, just overall lack of info and communication that placed so many people in confusion
If you booked somewhere to go, they said sure we usually take bookings 12 days from X.
Then you booked 12 days fr X and then out of nowhere came back to say nah 5 days we are changing your booking.
What would you think

Communication from Blizz has always been 
, and is continually getting worse.
If you made plans based on your own assumptions, that’s on you, and Blizz won’t give two of the emoji’s above.

It was concerning that the gap between S22 ending and S23 starting was reduced to five days, meaning patch 2.7.0 will be 3 days before the new season starts. Now we have an update from the CM that says they’re re-doing the Wizard set, i.e. another untested change. So, if they screw up, they have just two days to create / deploy an emergency fix.

I knew where you were coming from, the person I quoted, not so much.
I am sure they can patch during season if it was that big an issue. Not that they probably would.
It will be working as intended, and then fix it next season.

It’s just such a weird time to start it. Isn’t it quite regular for a lot of people to go away on Easter weekend?
Yes, I know you don’t have to start on the first day but it is nice to have that excitement for people of first night of season and blasting all weekend. I don’t necessarily start on start date but any others do like that.
But hey if you don’t have anything planned a four day weekend is great for season start.
