I’ve never done solo 150 greater rift, closest I’ve ever gotten was 145 in season 25 with huge damage buff on a monk. The next closest was this season 27 of 120, but I decided not to push.
I figure its upto upgrading gems/augments/paragon to push me to 150? Or is there a totally different play style at that level? I understand there is “fishing” involved, I usually play every gRift that is given to me.
even with a tuned down pylon potion ,season 28 should be the easiest it’s ever been to achieve it. Trag’oul, Tal’Rasha, Raekor ,LoN WoL will hit it before 2000k paragon. Close tot that will be Marauder, Masquerade and probably Natalya. I’m sure I’m missing some, those were just off the top of my head.
I’ve never reached it either , stopped at 142 highest.
My goal for s28 is to get there with PoJ monk.
Getting paragons should be easier and faster in S28. I did a 150 in S25 with monk and because it was so strong getting the paragons needed to do it, without a lot of fishing, wasn’t that boring and tedious as it would normally have been.
Plays 2-10 hours a week.
Doesn’t hit 2k paragon in a single season.
Doesn’t have a dedicated group to grind with.
More interested in watching a movie/tv show while playing.
Even if your time in game and achievements in game are pretty impressive like doing a 140 in the season of ethereals or doing a 120 with under 25k life with an UE Demon Hunter, isn’t enough.
Just mentioning that you’d like the potion thing fix’d to be not broken and not removed entirely will get you called a casual by some folks.
These folks don’t want you to be proud of achievements you’ve done so far but rather if you haven’t done a 150 already or if you have and did it with a build deemed “too easy” to accomplish it with, you’re just not in their league.
Isn’t it more like: a casual would rather watch a movie or tv than playing? Whereas a dedicated player is the one grinding paragons while watching other things?
I aimed for 140 in season 25, but because I felt like I would be able to do a 150 solo, I set my mind to go all the way. I got it once at around paragon 2300. I finished at 2500, which was more than my total paragon combined at the time. 148 and 149 were noticeably easier than 150. I liked grinding my way up there, since the build felt fair. Every time I didn’t get it in time, it was obviously my fault. In the process, I managed to rank all my gems to 150, which was unheard of for me. I got a top 10 spot on the Witch Doctor no set board too. I played for the entire season instead of just 2 weeks.
If the buffs stay as-is, I might go for a 150 push for every single class and play for the entire duration.
It’s an insult, pure and simple, not a descripter.
Anyone low enough to label any other player something that emotes visions of that other player as less than, is wrong and speaks to the arrogance of some and the entirely too much ego to think time in a video game equates to a better person in general.
But I won’t mention any names, because apparently who I’m speaking about is some kind of “repected” guy on youtube.
I know it can be used in a derogatory way. Just like the opposite is being a “no-lifer”. Here I see casual more in the context of being relaxed and not too concerned. But English is not my native language.
If you want the full Altar in S28 you can’t be too casual I would think.
I didn’t mean to go off like that. It’s just that I’m still stinging from the not too subtle aspersion cast on me yesterday. It bothers me still. I should just let it go and I will try. You didn’t need me jumping you like that.
It just bother me. And seeing this thread and the subject it was about first thing in the morning here brought back everything from yesterday.
there are people clearing 150 grfit with level 25 gems and being paragon 600 on PTR.
sadly this s28 is a shame, its all about the potion random power you get.
if you keep getting shield or conduilt its super easy.
