Casual player able to do solo 150?

Honestly what surprises me the most is the fact that people still play this game D hard up to 2000 paragons. I know most 2k+ paragons usually are botters or cheaters of some kind but its hilarious to see no matter what.

  1. Play the most OP build.

For the shards season (25) it was Inna Monk before it got nerfed. Next season it will still be Tal Meteor wizard (before it gets nerfed).

  1. Gear correctly.

Get the right primaries and secondaries. Use the right gems. Augment your gear to at least 125. Gear for P1000 might not be the same as P2400 when you have more toughness.

  1. Fish.

Your highest clear GR is usually about 5-7 GRs above your consistent clear. If you can clear GR120 on any map with any monster type. Then you should be able to clear GR127 with the right open map and a right monster type.

I cleared my 150 solo in season 25 with Inna monk. I was around P2400. I only grouped for bounties. The paragon was solo from leveling my gems to 150 since I never had a full set of playable gems (not used augments) at 150 even in non-season.

That’s the only time I’ve ever pushed in seasons because there’s really no point for me once I had a full set of gems at 150. I usually quit after finishing Guardian.

2k is pretty high for such low hours. I’d buy closer to 1k.

Just want to say, even for the not so casual, anything over 2500 paragon is pretty rough getting to. I’m talking about if you play SSF, and don’t like Speed Grifts a whole heaping lot but will do them as much as you can stand. Play a whole season and though you might not be the most efficient you put 4-6 hours in the game a day, sometimes a little less.

However, if you do things like Group Up, play really efficiently, and what not you can reach much higher, that isn’t for everybody though.

I just can’t stop thinking - What horrible game design.

That’s only horrible game design if the object is to clear GR150 with the lowest possible paragon and the least amount of time spent.

Agreed. As far as the new buffed sets, it might even be better to look at the non-season boards on PTR. The paragon is more respectable and since not as many play it, there’s not as many people cheesing it with bugs and they aren’t playing with season buffs.

That is a true statement. I feel like the current gaming culture gravitates towards this though with the best, fastest, most efficient way mentality, which is heavily preached and reinforced by streamers, content creators and other players.
With that being said imagine if we had 1 season out of 27 where Maxroll just posted - No season guides - everything can do 150, go have fun as long as you can.
Opinions of course.

there are people with gem 25 and paragon 650 clearing grift 150 in ptr… this season is a joke, its all about what pylon effect you get from Potion
conduilt > all

I think seasons tends to be geared towards off-and-on D3 players who play other games. They want to be able to speed run 150s in the shortest amount of time so they can go back to PoE or whichever game is starting their season next.

I love D3. It’s the only game I play. It’s the only game I have time for. But even I must admit. After a certain point (if you don’t have any goals other than clear 150), it’s kind of a boring end game.

I still have things I want to do in Non-Season so it’s a marathon not a sprint for me. I just have to wait until D4 gets released and enough players abandon D3, that they might pay attention to the remaining players suggestions.

I just want a SSF leaderboard and two more character slots.

I still plan to play D3 after D4 is released.

I fully agree. That is why I don’t mind if 1 season is broken/OP. I play the long game and only hope to find fun where I can. I have taken seasons off before because I did not like the theme. I have no problem with that at all. SSF is fun and more character slots is always welcome. Might I add more stash space, although it might be an issue with coding. I am not an expert so I would not know.

Only if you want to do it solo.

If you just want a GR150 clear, there will be 4-man groups doing them within 3 days of season start but they may have exacting terms before any of them would let you join, which not only includes your skills and style but your gear and favorite chip odor.

But, a GR150 doesn’t really mean anything except you were able to stomach the nonstop grind to get there. Wow. Yay.

I’d rather have something better to do.

There’s a hard limit to stash space because of the stash synching code they put in took make it harder to dupe items from the Auction House.

SSF leaderboard should be mostly be database work. The coding shouldn’t be onerous – all it has to do is record a flag for any character that’s been in a group. And code that says, we’re not recording anything into the SSF leaderboards tables if your character has a flag.

I use all my character slots. Two more slots would allow me to start some hardcore toons. That would keep me occupied for another 10 years.

This discrimination against Cool Ranch Doritos really needs to stop.

Considering you instigated it, yes, the faction against the Cool Ranch may want to have words with you… I’m a Spicy Nacho guy these days. Used to like the Cool Ranch but not anymore.

Translated - Let’s end this thread. 100% agreed. Thank you Brophog

Cool Ranch is good, but I prefer Salsa Verde, especially with nacho cheese and some hollapainyos.

My wife loves those. I don’t mind them but they break too easy, to me.
