Recently tried to extract power from Bloodtide Blade, but kept saying that "the power can’t be extracted from this item. I clicked fill on the recipe tab, have all the material (white numbers, not red), then it fails.
You can’t extract Powers from a Legacy Legendary item? I have no way to test this since I don’t have any Legacy items left other than a Hellish Staff of Herding.
I would tend to think you could extract a Legacy item, but the Power would be the updated Power. (The item will be destroyed anyway).
If a current version of the Legendary item was already extracted, would the bullet on the Legacy item be updated? Again, I have no way to test this. And without a screenshot from HavocX, there’s no way to tell.
@HavocX, check Kanai’s Cube and click on the Weapon Slot to see if Bloodtide Blade is on Page 1.
It can’t be a legacy item since it is a Necromancer item. There are no legacy Necro items, given how new the Necro pack is. And the item certainly has an extractable power. So either the OP has insufficient crafting mats, or item has already been extracted, or is using the wrong recipe.
I am sorry about the late reply. Here are the imgur pictures of the process:

The power is actually listed in the collection: https://imgur.com/a/lXLcOoV

If it is a legacy item, why does that even matter since i’m only extracting the ability?
Oh. Darn, thanks for your help either way. Was a bit confused for a while.
Recently came back to the game, so i’m trying to adjust to some of the changes. I’m assuming this is a rather random item, so i’m gonna try to farm as much.
Legacy Legendary items or not, if you ever want to quick-check if the Power can be extracted, just look at the bullet to the left of the Power in the item’s tooltip.
First: This is the Bug Report Forum, not a help forum.
Second: You just necro-bumped a nine month old bug report, which is frowned on in these forums. Please read: How to Write a Good Bug Report.
But, while I’m here:
The Bloodtide Blade has a Level 50 Requirement. (Not sure when it will begin to drop).
It should drop like any item in the game. Kill monsters, open Chests, destroy Breakable Objects.
Craft Level 70 Rare 2-Hand Scythes and upgrade them to Legendary with Kanai’s Cube.
Spend Blood Shards on Kadala. (Not recommended)
Use the following chart for more information. (Insert your Character Class and your Character Level). The chart will show you the average number of Blood Shards you would have to spend on Kadala or the average number of Death’s Breaths you would use in the Cube to acquire the item you want.
Note: You can also use this chart to determine what Level you need to be before the item even shows up for your Character. (Irrelevant if you’re already Level 70, but useful for future reference).
Side note: I just did some playing around with the chart linked above. A Necromancer must be Level 50 before they will see a Bloodtide Blade. It would take an average of 10,500 Blood Shards to obtain one from Kadala. But, it would only take an average of 75 Death’s Breaths to upgrade a Level 70 Rare 2-Hand Scythe to one with Kanai’s Cube. Probably due to there being only 4 Legendary 2-Hand Scythes in the game.
