Blizzcon Online on February 19/20 will be free

Well said. Your original post will be meaningless and proven wrong if those people (especially post #12) don’t post in this thread but guess what? Those posters are making sure that you are right every second.

What do I eed to apologize for? My god the pearl clutching with you. All I did was ask what the negative Nancy’s would complain about and a few post later we had one being totally dismissive of the free Blizzcon.

I was told Ihad to apologize for that remark. Some of these people.

You predicted it right at the start and the prophecy came to pass shortly after.

Yes. That was the most hilarious part about it.

You know what? Even if you don’t say anything at all in this thread, post #12 will still be going to happen because this is how Blizzard forums work.

As I have said several times, no mater what Blizzard does some people will complain about it. These complainers will also attract some supporters. Now some are complaining about a free event, that is truly amazing. Beefhammer was 100% correct and Karen cannot deal with it.

Isnt it one person?
I am mostly amazed how long this thread had kept fuel, based on that remark, and someone complaining about people (potentially) complaining.

One with a tag along supporter I am sure Karen will show up to start again.

It looks like.

Shameful how all 3 are supporting each other regarding something that has no justification attaching themselves to a single dude like there’s no tomorrow, and even taking into account that sp5it at least referred to something related to the event.

Predicted something massive and had to wait until 12th reply, and even got something that doesn’t even allow to use the plural form as he did. At first I just read the 5 first replies, being 1st the initial vitriol itself, 2nd quoting that vitriol and supporting it, 3rd disagreeing with it, and 5th also quoting it.

So only 4th reply (… surprisingly Bravata) among the 1st 5 wasn’t about his poison.

Well you have some people that feel they need to vocally police threafs and pretend to be mods instead of using the functions of the forums and letting the actual mods deal with it.

My comment was partially in jest because Blizzard has a huge following of fans to the point every decision or comment made will be disliked by somone. That’s just a numbers game. But I’ve been around the Blizzard forums and many others for over 15 years. It seems like many go overboard with the hate.

Massive? You sure like to misconstrue. All I said is what will the naysayers have to say. That is not some prolific prognostication of massive grief.

Also vitriol? If you consider what I said vitriolic , you need to get a dictionary.

Hahaha. First you were accused for promoting toxicity, and then you are told to apologized for being right and now your posts were being vitriolic. I certainly didn’t see it coming that your simple post will trigger someone so much here.

Writing something obvious and attaching 2 smileys at the end don’t prove that’s false. However you being a “master” of logic has been proven.

You could guess that the author of that post is the same of this thread without even looking at the name.

I am using that 2 emoji because the situation that Beefhammer was facing is ridiculous and hilarious.

Also, is it OK for you to talk to me considering what you said in the other thread?

As my current post that you were replying to was not “diablo” related and it wasn’t meant for you, or that statement you made don’t apply to you when it was convenient for you?

Hmmmmmmm…

I guess the concept of practice what you preach doesn’t really apply to everyone here.

WTF dude, you pretend that this wasn’t about me and even pretend that I’m the one not leaving you alone?

LEAVE ME ALONE

Of course they do. It’s a huge advertisement for them, streams, game news, social medias, everybody talks about it. And it reinforces the sense of community, hence the chance that they will buy their products.
Not saying it’s a bad thing, on the contrary, but let’s not think it’s a charity event. It’s a calculated marketing investment to promote their brand. It will be the same for the free online Blizzcon.

I imagine the event, within the narrow context of itself, is a loss. Much like a $5M superbowl ad is a loss for <product>.

You get what you pay for. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. It’s only special if it’s exclusive. Who let all these scrubs in here. The best they can possibly do in a bad situation isn’t good enough.

Some people complain about having freedom. Don’t let it kill your buzz though. It’s a free show after all.

I meant direct financial profit from the event itself.

No buzz kill happening. This is often time more entertaining than playing the game.
