Blizzard had no right to kill off Deckard Cain

And i demand he be put back into the game when Diablo 4 comes out. There hasnt been a more iconic character in the history of entire gaming. I dont care how you do it, just give him back to the players.

Their games, their decision.

The only ways I can see that Deckard Cain would come back is if Blizzard brings him back as a ghost or if they disregard the events of Diablo 3 (which we know that they won’t since they explicitly stated that Diablo 4 takes place after Diablo 3).

With that said, sadly Deckard Cain was going to die eventually anyway due to either an enemy, old age, and/or illness. Imo, they should just let him rest in peace.

Yeah let’s revive Cain the same way Zoltan kulle was. Lol what a joke . It’s a video game character.
Who cares.

D3 is 8 years old so get over it. Cain would most likely be dead by the time of the events in D4 so deal with it.

Oh he dead. I’ll be looking for Cains wooden cane in D4.

And Diablo 4 takes place after D3 story after 20 years I think.

Even if Deckard Cain is alive in D3, he will still going to die due to his old age in D4.

Yeah, it was obvious in Diablo 3 (which takes place 2 decades after Diablo 2) that the years were taking their toll on Deckard Cain. Diablo 4 will take place decade(s) after Diablo 3; so I could only imagine how much more struggle he would’ve had to go through if he were still alive.

Maybe a Necromancer could bring him back as a Skeletal Mage. Not really he was cremated outside of Tristram, and we will not even be in that area during the events of D4.

Now I wouldn’t mind seeing a skeleton npc in town who happens to be an incredibly knowledgeable scholar (who may or mayn’t be related to a Horadric Mage).

Maybe I’ll stay a while, and listen.

Of course they had. They own the IP.

If they want to turn it into Habbo Hotel, by all legal means, they have the right.

Such is the way of capitalism.

the investment the players put into diablo annd the fact that Dee Kay wouldnt exist without us, means we deserve partial ownership of the fictional part of his character.

Who in the world is that? Did you know that the name Deckard Cain is from a real person?

Honey call the guys in the white jackets.

I’ve read Lord of the Rings over two dozen times. Does the Tolkien estate owe me residuals because I ‘own’ Frodo and Bill the Pony? No.

Cain is alive and well and doing just fine.

Eh…not sure how “fine”…kinda looks like he has some scrolls on his shoulder like he’s going to throw them at someone or read to them until they walk away confused. He Might be a little confused in his old age.
