i only queue as Cho’gall with random people and rp argue with them the whole match
That’s not how it works. When you bought a game, say, d1 or d2, you paid for it, and it alone. The company owes you nothing else.
well - how many times have we killed diablo and he’s still around? LMAO
I am fine still kicking and screaming
I have seen experiments go well, and also drive players to the insanity of Cthulhu, where the objective was to destroy a hero’s sanity. Sanity, is probably one of the most rare kinds of items in Diablo, as a player searches for items of all realms.
A wizard is a underworld creature. They are already a wizard.
The ones that played D2 knew that Cain would bite the bullet in D3. One point is that horadrim are not immortal. Two his book was a goodbye letter to Leah. Three he didn’t have the best of the health in the end. Four he went through a lot before succumbing to all that he had went through.
I would say give Cain a fitting ending by making him part of the Angiris Council. He can take whatever role isn’t taken. I think that would be the highest honor anyone can be paid after death.
Then we the players might see him again in the form of dreams and visions.
I still say Magda is some how related to Whimsydale. Corrupted ruler?
It is the only way I can explain “death by butterflies”.
Make sure to stamp your feet and pout whilst you do it.
Maybe you’ll get featured on the TV…
The Doom Slayer says hi.
It’s not a family friendly game, good guys and the ones we love, they die, the only gripe I have is the butterfly thing. I expected a final for him with more dignity, however we’ll all remember him as he’s always been.
Now that you mention him as the most iconic character, I think that Tyrael is that guy, and his is the real case I feel like has been treated the worst way. He was the mythic faceless “wallpaper guy”, and now they turned him into a random dude. I’d even prefer him to be killed than what they’ve done to him.
By time scale… D3 happened 20 years after D2, and D4 gonna take the story 20 years later after D3. Even if Deckard Cain was alive in D3, it hardly makes sense an ancient Horadrim to live that long without some dark mysticism. Only Horadrim member who reached that kind of power was Zoltun Kulle by being a merely mortal. Tyrael is an angel and apparently, he’s no where to be seen yet since heavens closed their doors in D4.
I believe we’ll get to see Leah again picking breadcrumbs of hints and by the looks of story, we might come across Zoltun’s soul even but I don’t think we can see Deckard Cain alive unless story writers come up with a story twist for the previous game. I believe no matter what they did, it would hardly make sense. They have to use D:I as a plot hole filler to do so; which tells the story way before D3, five years after events in D2 and worldstone destroyed.
So 1, they have every right. 2, you just admitted you are a troll. So you’ve lost any credibility you may have had.
So does Mario, the chocobo, Sonic, Lara Croft, and many others.
Magic users often have familiars. Nothing wrong with somone liking butterflies enough to make them hers. Makes sense and doesn’t need to be tied to an inside joke level.
Cain was an old fossil even in Diablo he was like pushing 90 then D2 the time line was 20 years later and finally D3 was yet another 20 years the fight vs the prime evils didnt kill him blame it on father time
Just let him live on through a legendary item.
Deckards Cane.
“Automatically identifies items upon looting.”
"Periodically you hear echoes of the past(Cain voicelines from previous Diablos)
bring back the BS from D3 and he one of the new sets he crafts has Cains name
I’m sure they will have something about Cain in D4. D3 has the set You could craft and the recipe “hope of Cain”. I personally would like the have something with Griswold’s. He was one of my favorite iconic characters through diablo. Wirt was always around too.
Look the world of Sanctuary is a world filled with magic. Magic isn’t always what it appears to be. Even the most innocent looking things and attacks that would look like they couldn’t hurt a flea could kill. That last attack, along with the magic holding him, was designed to kill a horadrim. Otherwise Leah wouldn’t have reacted the way that she did. Stop going by appearances because they are deceiving.
Also don’t think of Cain as more than just a scholar and loremaster. He wasn’t a battle mage. If he were then he would’ve been able to handle Diablo himself in D1 as he himself stated in the history of the franchise.
What he would die the death of a battle mage that he wasn’t. He was just a loremaster and scholar. His own apathy, much like Leah’s is what costed him dearly. Instead of taking the sacred texts seriously and start training to be a battle mage he went down the path that he went.
Diablo himself or someone near his strength is not needed to kill a lowly scholar and loremaster.
Not physically, but the game could say that Cain as became a member of the Angiris Council. I say that would be a fitting end to his story. Well at least until Blizz would want to go further down that path.
I’m glad the old fart with the droning voice is gone.
Amen
Well really all the npc of d1 and d2 had magic, personality and their own history, they made you fall in love with them. And even more so if you played the story mode by completing all the conversations and gossip
I disagree. Maybe you may say that because you only played diablo 2. but before it was already present Cain, which was the most important npc in d1 that told you the true story of what happened.
There is a moment, in diablo 1, which is epic, it is when Cain the elder after what happened in the cathedral of tristam was revealed, he revealed his true identity as the last of the horadrim then he told u all Diablo´s lore … goose bumps just remembering it .
That was epic, but it’s true that my second most important npc would be Tyrael.
Then there are many that I also miss. Warriv, Wirt, poor Farnham, great Griswold, Drognan, Gillian the barmaid, Ogden and his lost sign :D, Gheed, Geglash the drinked, Atma, Elzix, Ormus…well everyone …
D1 and D2 were magical when making the npcs … it hurts that d3 is villager n # 1 villager n # 2 villager n # 3 … you wouldn’t be able to identify many npc that belong to each city and that his story has a meaning or depth, was another of his failures …
