ps4 player here, and really mad about this crap. Does blizzard really think console players are to stupid to figure out how to type with a controller? Plz just give us the SAME lobby system as pc, we are not too stupid to figure out how to use it. Plz give us a way to chat in game that is not a broken wheel of crap. We can figure out how to communicate, this is NOT the first game for most of us.

I can and am willing to forgive the broken graphics, massive lag, horrible load screen times, broken skills, and over all ‘BETA’ ness of the game, but i cannot forgive the idea that console players are just too stupid to use the lobby system or chat systems just because we dont have a hard attached keyboard. plz say this was just an after thought and you are scrapping this “improvement” in order to go back to the original.

I didnt play any on console but PC didn’t have lobby system or chat systems really in place for the beta, very limited social aspects at all

The lobby system is in game already, chat was pretty much nonexistent though.

Could be that they add it later, but it is true, wondering how people wanna make trade games if they can’t write or name games.

The lobby system seemed like a shell of what its gonna be, at least in terms of like characters at the bottom and chat channels, which I hope are in the launch. Maybe I missed some info on that though

Aah. Yeah that is true. At least the basic functionality is there though. I very much hope they fix the lobby chat and add a way to remove the “x has joined trade chat” spam.

Yea thats why I think the channel system was bare bones, you couldn’t manually leave or join any channels that I could figure out but I suspect you will in regular with a way to turn off the notifications

In answer to the question, maybe, but they wouldn’t admit it. So reframe the question in a loaded way to register a response without admitting conceit.

dang. hope it gets better on the PS. was thinking about getting a copy of it for that. think ill wait till after the actual game comes out though and just play the pc version for a bit.

No, a lot of console players are upset about the lack of lobby/named games and no in game text or voice chat.

No, I refunded the PC version just to find out that consoles don’t even have lobby’s, so I had to refund that too.

With the press release/news stating D2:R is digital-only, with no chance to be disc, no, I am not happy. I can’t collect bytes - they won’t look pretty sitting on a shelf.

Oh well. Minus a sale. Only way I will get it for console now is if it comes with some Anthology. Or maybe consoles will just die for me if the discs, in general, start to vanish.

nobody thinks we’re stupid they are just too lazy to implement it when they could just import the d3 matchmaking very fast and they think we would be happy because its brainless fun to smash monsters over and over with no human interactions
however d2 isnt d2 without game chat, a chat lobby and custom games and lobbies.

Enjoyed basically everything or can adapt to somethings, but having no lobby for games is absolutely terrible.

So they expect console players to just blindly hope the games they join are what they’re looking for? There goes a large chunk of what made Diablo, the social aspect. What a joke, really hope it gets changed, but don’t expect it to :\

They lost a sale because no physical version? Can’t you just print out some of the marketing images for d2r and paste it onto a game box if you just want something to sit on your shelf?

Most console physical versions require patches to play them anyway. They really are just decorations nowadays.

You can hook up voice chat through the system, so not sure that should be an issue

Yes, through the console party system, but not in game. That’s terrible. I’d have to invite every random in my game into a private voice chat party because the in game text wheel sucks.

Box art is not the same, especially if you collect. Which clearly you do not.

Oh, and 99% digital games require patches. That’s a completely different thing and means nothing.
