Another Blizzard D2R Survey Just Sent Out

Let me introduce you to the company that brought you Diablo3.

Where is my email from Blizzard?

The items don’t have to be more powerful, but adding more variety to items, making more obscure builds viable.

… like what. The arctic blast druid finally emerges as viable?

There are already a RIDICULOUS amount of builds that are viable(PVM) and in PVP in D2. The only thing they could actually ‘touch up’ or even rebuild would be martial arts assasins outside of skills that basically do not function well at all. There isn’t a whole lot for them to do - if your definition of viable is ‘can it kill hell baal solo’ so many things can. We don’t need more ladder items to make that work. We do not need FOTM changes brought to make interesting content in the game - its already done by the low drop rates, incredibly rare good items that can spawn, and already a pretty widely divergent things you can get from items that make character builds unique.

Blizzard surveys are not sent to everyone just a reasonable sample size of individuals. You do not need to survey everyone to get an idea of what the population prefers.

This is simple statistics and study design.

Blizzard. Entertainment.

Guys, it’s like you’ve never played one of their games, seriously.

If you hate Blizzard so much, why do you buy their games?

New Blizzard =/= Old Blizzard. This is old blizzards game(as it stands right now). Its likely he wouldn’t even consider buying this if it was new blizzard. I wouldn’t either.

D2:R is new blizzards game, D2:LoD is old Blizzards game…

Then why is everyone trying to make it so “modern” :roll_eyes:

errr no. It’s an old game with new graphic engine atop of it.

…if its just a touch up on the graphics and port to bnet 2.0 - that’s not substantive changes - its a remaster of an old game - implying fidelity to it. Hence why people would consider buying it who preferred a game by ‘old blizzard’

This seriously shouldn’t be difficult to comprehend.

I see, thanks for your reply.
But It is still sad I didn"t get any email.

Warcraft orcs+humans = great game
WC2 = Great
WC3 = Great
SC2 = great
D2 = best arpg on the market

Among others. Their most recent games? I enjoyed Diablo3 for what it was, a half decent single player game with fun slash mechanics.

To say I “hate” Blizzard games is absurd.

I criticize Blizzard for things that aren’t even disputed by their own developers.
Even Blizzard employees have talked openly about power creep and how it has become an issue in D3.

Blizzard has a bad track record of power creep in games. This is undisputed.

To add to this - there is a reason why they squished WoW level’s last year. People had at most 10k life. Now they’re back up to 60k+ again. Power creep in Blizzards games have definitely been a thing.

Blizzard used to be known for their quality of games. Everything they published used to be of high quality. That has severely changed over the past decade. Now it’s almost the complete opposite, everything they touch turns to crap.

Just filled it out interested to see the result’s. I wonder if they will share them with us on the forum.

They heard us :slight_smile: It has section asking about the changes they have made and future changes they are considering.

I wont list them because it will start an argument. They have been discussed at length on the forum though.

The people who don’t want change will go crazy now lol.

There was no warning this time about not sharing the questions at the start of the survey. Unless I missed it I was in a bit of a rush.

thats ther you alot of others a wrong. purist will not PLAY. purist= NO changes. D2R got changes.

Correct! They polished their games for release in the old days of Blizzard!

Blizzard historically has not done that. Can you imagine the blowback from their first D2R survey if 80% of respondents expressed some interest in personal loot replacing FFA loot at D2R launch?
