Altar of Rites PTR Change Notes - Cleaned up

Putting a little effort into consistent formatting:

Force “+200 Damage” — reduced to +100
Shadow “+25% Missile Damage Reduction” — reduced to 5%
Exodus “+25% Movement Speed (Uncapped)” — reduced to 10%
Command “Increase damage against elites by 15%” — reduced to 5%
Tenacity “+20% Damage” — reduced to 5%
Reverence “Reduces the damage taken from Elites by 25%” — reduced to 5%
Numb “+25% Melee Damage Reduction” — reduced to 5%
Nature “Increase your highest Elemental Skill Damage bonus by 10%” — reduced to 5%
Prowess “Increase damage against elites by 20%” — reduced to 5%
Roar “Increase damage done to bosses by 50%” — reduced to 5%
Elegance “Increase your chance to Dodge by 15%” — reduced to 5%
Malice “+30% Damage” — reduced to 5%
Father Power pylon has been removed from random Shrine effect
Mother Triune of Love circle increases damage by 100% — reduced to 50%

Hopefully this is less dizzying than the word soup in the patch notes.

Thanks!

That way of phrasing it should come more natural / more intuitive to many users here, me included.

I got the gist of the notes lol. But thanks for the clean up. Maybe they can cut n paste it into the patch page.

Yeah. I think the patch notes can be understood if read carefully. It helps once one figures out that Bliz 1) paraphrased the affixes, and 2) jumped between stating the affix first and stating the change first, which resulted in the words “increase” and “decrease” being strewn all over the place.

Early on, there were a few posts sprinkled around about how Bliz’s use of “increase” and “decrease” were confusing (it confused me on my first time through). So hopefully this is much easier on the brain.

I hereby vote Leviathan as the official word salad descrambling consultant for Blizzard for future Diablo 3 patch notes…

Oh wait, this is the last substantial list of patch notes we’ll be getting… Never mind.

I noticed the cost of unlocking the Seals has changed too.

Sorry. I was wrong. It appears that the cost of unlocking Seals has not changed.

Ah! If folks are able to grab what each seal costs, I can add it in here.

Did they remove the auto pick-up mats for pets?

No they just didn’t change anything about it.
List contains all the changes to S28 altar

Glad to know. Thanks.

I just checked: For me it’s the old ammount of materials, at least for seal 2.

They sure do like to reduce most things to 5% for some reason.

According to the caleko’s planner, the requirements haven’t changed.

https://caleko.github.io/s28planner/index.html

And I remember the second Seal was easy to unlock.

Looking back at the Altar unlocking guide on Maxroll, which was last updated in Sept (so I assume it’s how it was in S28), it lists 1 Flawless Diamond, 15 Reusable Parts, and 20 Arcane Dust.

Could you have accidentally noted it wrong? Or maybe it changed sometime after you noted it?

Luckily, neither requirement is an obstacle to progression!

Maybe you’re right, unfortunately I’m not like you, I don’t have any screenshots proving the opposite of what you say :slightly_smiling_face:

But whatever, it’s not very important

I am SO embarrassed.

Yes. I have just confirmed that I messed up when I created my document.

No. It appears I’m not. Sorry.

I just remembered: I uploaded a video in Season 28 because of all the Bug Reports about the Objective, Hot Anvil, Strong Steel & the Real Deal. I just went back and watched it. It shows what it cost to unlock the second Seal. And it HAS NOT changed.

I’ll delete my previous posts.

Yes. That’s the important thing.

Thanks guys, for straightening me out.

or bump it up to 250,000%. Fine tuning is way above their pay grade.

any word if shards of hatred are intended to be in or its just a bug?
Also i have not seen any embers, it would be silly to have shards without them
