Altar of rites for non season?

So, the patch notes are out. But to me, its not clear if the altar of rites is coming to non season. Will it?

Given that they discuss the Altar under the “Patch Notes” section (This section applys to all versions and realms, both seasonal and non season) instead of the “Seasonal” (Covers “NEW” things to the season) section, that its going to be on eternal as well. This would be my understanding of it.

My understanding after reading the patchnotes is that the Altar also comes to non-season, similar to Visions of Enmity (“permanent feature”, “always available”). However, I don’t understand why they don’t clearly communicate it. I still prepare for the worst, to not be dissapointed by Blizzard cough. Imho:

  • a permanent feature should be available non-season
  • anything related to quality of life should also be available non-season

I sure hope that Altar and Visions come to non season.

Same! I enjoy hopping into D3 from time to time, without having to worry about min-maxing towards the season theme.

I want the qol most of all to come to non season. The rest is just powercreep which can easily be achieved in various other ways.

Having all items say they are level one on ns might not be very handy though.

We’ll see what happens when patch goes live. A blue post on this is highly unlikely. They even forgot to tell us when season 29 ends…

Something screwy going on here.

First I confirmed that I was running Patch 2.7.7 on PC. (I don’t have a console).

Asia Region, Patch 2.7.7 non-Season

  • No Mail
  • Had Altar of Rites


Europe Region, Patch 2.7.7 non-Season

  • Had Mail. Contained 3 Haedrig’s Gifts even though I already collected them during Season 29.
  • NO Altar of Rites


Americas Region, Patch 2.7.7 non-Season

  • No Mail
  • NO Altar of Rites


Went back to Asia Region to check for Mail

  • No Mail
  • NO Altar of Rites this time


The state of Diablo III  going forward DOES NOT look good.

Maybe they were testing to see if the digital switch to turn it on/off is working, using the forum uproar as confirmation.

It is a total disappointment even though it is super nerfed, the QoL nodes are very important, why not add it to NS? What does it cost you to do it Blizzard?

Something is definitely going on.

As far as the Altar of Rites not being in non-Season: I’d like to think that if it is only in Season 30, once we unlock it, or any portion of it, when Season 30 ends it will (hopefully) transfer to non-Season. Much like extracting Powers in Kanai’s Cube does.

Oh well, only time will tell.

This tells me, that having it not available to non season is the state blizzard desires and no oversight.

Oh well, all that hype for returning altar and visions for nothing

What are you talking about? It’s returning to season. Best decision Blizz could make to leave it there.

Was really hoping to see auto salvage, double primals and experience pools in non season. These were great for casual players.
