Yea, you just leave the game before the cow king is killed.
You could have a char rushed to hell for the sole purpose of opening cows. Open cows with that char, leave, rejoin on your main.
It’s a must of course. Purists that against it are sick. Call an ambulance.

I don’t know how many will read this, but the post king cow killing is a big deal. It seems reasonable to grant your request.
I would like to advocate for a space for moding community.
TCP/IP has been cut and private servers are against the rules now.
The mod community is what keeps the game going for 20 years.

It’s certainly a viable way to push the community to voice their opinion. The more people that experience this pain, the more community consensus we will get. Even though the consensus from this topic alone is about 99%.

Yeah I have seen very few people against it compared to folks in favor.
It really is just QoL, same as not needing to drop trade items between chars.

This would be a great QoL change. We all worked around it by dodging cow king, or using alt characters to open the portal anyway, so this would fall in line with the shared stash being added.

They removed making another account.
They removed allowing two characters from same account play at the same time.
So they should remove the “killing Cow King” to change completely. No punishment.
In the past you make an alt account or use same account different character to make Cow Portal then switch back.
The Cow King is hard to notice in a big mob, plus the Cow King dies too fast.
This truly would be wonderful to remove the penalty completely.

Here’s an idea. Whoever kills the cow king gets to face him Mano el Mano with no gear. If that person beats the cow king with bare hand, along with the skills that he does possess, he can continue to open the cow level.

What do you mean? Do you suggest we can only open cow level once because the drop rates are good? Today we can open it endless of times and farm the drop rates, unless the king dies.

The workaround for doing as many cow runs as you want is so easy it’s silly to not make it part of the game. You can farm everything else, why not cows?
