A few random thoughts/suggestions and Thank You

First, thank you to the team for putting together season 30. Season 30 has been great so far. It has been very buggy as well, but thankfully I haven’t lost valuable loot due to bugs. I’m looking forward to Season 31, which leads me to a set of some random thoughts and suggestions.

  1. (quality of life feature request) Can we get functionality added to the game that allows us to use the shift key to see the actual level requirement on gear after taking the altar node to remove all level requirements? The shift key is used when comparing loot with socketed items so that only the raw stats rolled on the items are compared. If the shift key is too much work then just adjust the tool tip to include the actual required level in parenthesis.

  2. (mechanics change request) Can we have all Arcane Orbs observe the use of Unstable Scepter such that the orbs from Arcane Hydra and the orbs from Moonlight Ward explode twice on impact. Also, can the orbs from the above mentioned sources be buffed by Triumvirate. Its great that we got Frost Hydras buffed, but we should put some emphasis on variety with viability.

  3. (mechanics change request) Can we get Ranslor’s Folly bracers changed to include grabbing elites. Please. Necros have Brigg’s Wrath which snaggs elites when a curse is cast. Curses cost only 10 Essence to cast which is a pittance compared to 35 Arcane Power for Energy Twister. Necro curses cover a wide radius that is visible to the player upon casting. Twister has a much smaller radius in comparison.

  4. (mechanics change request) Can we get Electrocute added to the spells buffed by Mantle of Channeling (MoC). Its pretty horrible that the class with the greatest number of channeling skills doesn’t get the most benefit from MoC. You’ve already added Necro Siphon Blood to MoC. Electrocute should have been added many moons ago.

  5. (mechanics reversion request) A while back Wizards could benefit from 2x bubbles stacked from Crown of the Primus (Primus). This was before Primus was changed to exclude the Point of No Return rune (stun). What this did was allow a Vyr Wizard to do is cast a bubble on top of themselves before going into Archon, cast the bubble once they jumped into Archon, and get the iAS benefit of both bubbles. Vyr/Archon is iAS dependent and it allowed the Vyr Wizards to get stacks a bit more quickly. The double iAS benefit is NOT game breaking and is a small but significant benefit. Can we get the double iAS benefit added back to the bubble/Primus.

  6. (Revenue Suggestion) I realize that Acti-Blizz wants to sell more units of D4. Some of us still prefer D3, D2/LoD, and D2R. How about adding D3 transmogs packs to the Blizzard store. I’m thinking of a $5 to $10 purchase of transmog packs and do it 4 times a year. The packs would contain 5-10 class specific item transmogs (ex: Crusader shields/flails, Wizard wands/orbs, DH bows/x-bows, etc) and 3-5 per slot/per class transmogs. An example of a “Per slot/Per class” transmog would be a boot transmog for Crusader that would look different on a DH, Wiz, WD, Barb, Necro. So, in-game, if one uses Sovereign Greaves x-mog (row 3, column 4 at the Mystic) on a pair of Ice Climber boots, the Sovereign Greaves x-mog has a unique look for each class. This is a per slot/per class unique look. Don’t bother trying to push the battle pass model with D3. Just sell the art work (static images). This is easy money. An art team does not cost $20 million. The projects do not require 2 years of work. The point is to sell low cost visual sugar (art work) that adds a bit of value to game and creates residual income opportunities. The cost of producing the art is relatively cheap (FTE may not be necessary). IMHO, Blizzard should have done this many years ago.

  7. (Revenue Suggestion) Add more dyes. This is tied to the above transmog suggestion. Adding more dye colors would requires very little effort. Either include with the transmog packs or separately.

For items 6 and 7, this follows common industry practice of adding purchasable DLC content to a product post production which adds value and becomes residual income sources.

  1. Please add D3, its expansions, and the above transmog/dye suggestions to Steam at a low cost. Blizz had a recent sale with stuff at 67% off. I might have jumped on that sale if it were on Steam (or call it a Steam transfer). If I could run D3 through Steam as a Steam game, much like D4, then I might have been enticed to spend a little.

Why??? (and 5 more question marks) Valve supports Linux, I prefer the Linux platform compared to Windows, thus you would be giving me a reason to spend money with you. Blizzard has been resistant to porting their games to Linux. I’ve been resistant to buying games that don’t support Linux. Putting the game on Steam is like a “meet me in the middle” scenario.

  1. Please fix Warcraft3 Reforged (ex: replace the dependence on Bonjour with IPv4 LAN gaming), and put it on Steam. I’m not going to list here the vast number of things that went wrong with War3 Reforged. Blizz has M$ money now. Fix the game, satisfy the player base, stick it on Steam at low cost. Add IPv4 LAN gaming to D2R and StarCraft Remastered, and put both of them on Steam at low cost. You might consider doing the same thing with SC-2, its expansions, and all the extra DLC style content. All of the above would be yet another “meet me in the middle” scenario.

Anyone who does not care for Linux, please continue to use Mac/Windows. Overwatch and D4 are on Steam.

For any items with or relating to:

… it’s been made clear that that’s not going to happen going forward.

As for the WC3R, D2R, SCR and SC2 requests, strange that they would be placed here. The likelihood of them being passed to the respective franchises is essentially zero compared to using their respective forums. In other words, made in vain.

Maybe my message will be ignored, maybe they will consider it. If the player base never posts anything or attempts to make their desires/wants known then how would they ever know? Maybe I will create posts in the respective forums based on your statement. Lastly, if D3 is truly relegated to maintenance mode then why are you here green text? What motivates you to continue crawling through these forums when supposedly nothing new is coming?.. unless there is monetary gain to be made or some other perks. Are you in the D4, WoW, WoW-Classic, etc forums? What are your thoughts on season 30? What class/classes did you choose to play in S-30, and why?

It’ll be weird for me to say that since people always expect “negativity” from me, but I’ll go ahead and say that most of these in that list is within’ their reach and they can consider those for Diablo 3. Just because they gonna churn existing Season themese after S30 doesn’t mean they would not make small tweaks.

For the WC3R, I’ll agree with what Leviathan said above, it’s no use to try and reach them from here in my opinion.

You’re just tossing mud against the wall. Nothing wrong with that. Don’t let anyone :poop: on your hopes.

What, only new things are relevant to talk about? Everyone that will ever visit the forum knows every detail about the game?

The “green texts” are not Blizzard employees.
