A Continued Necromancer Feedback

To refference the original topic:

To continue that in light of the changes, this is a continuation, but more of a feedback for the changes from March 4th, 2021 to the PTR.

I am going to be testing out the new changes, and see how other people have adapted to it as well. I will also be trying my best to keep this productive and on-topic.

If you already have some ideas or general feedback, please post it here. This is not a complaint thread, so keep that in mind.

So after some intense testing (for me) I worked around with several of the “Top 15 Leaderboard” builds, running several times with each build to get used to them, and figure out the idea behind what legendaries are used and such.

I asked around in the community on the PTR, and the only conclusion I could come to with their help:
You essentially need to have nearly perfectly rolled gear / all primal versions of set items and legendaries, along with AT LEAST 3-4k paragon levels, to make the Rathma’s set work in anything over Greater Rift level 100-110(ish) at any consistent level.

Meanwhile, I know for a fact that even my noobliness can use the Firebird set to get to Grift 116+ as a challenge, but completely do-able, and with 1300 Paragon, and only some decent Ancients, no primals, and really not optimal rolls.
I know I can do the same with the Impale DH, Leapquake and WW Barbarian, Inna’s and PoJ Monk, and various other builds from other classes, including a Bonespear build for Necromancers.

At this point though, I have no suggestions, because the changes to the redone Rathma’s set, to me, brought the set back down too far.
I still genuinely think that the only real change that needed to happen was potentially a diminished return value for the duration of of the Rathma’s Shield passive buff.

Changing it to a 60-Second CD for the entire class, because of one set in particular, is just silly… but again, I do not know what to do. If Blizzard keeps the change, it will just be another “you need to sink hundreds of hours into gaining paragon, just to even be able to make this set functional”.
I know it sounds a bit complain-y, and it sort of is. I just honestly do not know where to go from here, because the “nerf” that happened on March 4th on the PTR was just too far.

Again, I can get to the same level with other sets, including the new Firebird set, without having more than 1500 Paragon levels, but now the changes to Rathma’s set made it virtually impossible (at least to me) but it seems from the general feedback I get when I ask in the General chat…most people are having the same problem, so maybe it is something worth looking into.

There are thousands of us, so maybe we can brainstorm to come up with a solution that does not break the set, but instead kind of brings it on par for more people…without making it TOO casual friendly lol!
