800 paragons cap is too low

They can still strive for better gear, augments and legendary gems.

After a week or two you won’t be getting any upgrades but every few days. Running dozens, eventually hundreds of grifts in between every power increase is going to be monumentally boring. I genuinely can’t understand why people want the paragon to be effectively removed from the game. It offers incremental power gains in between every gear upgrade. It offers a longterm goal for people who like to play more than 1 week per season. It allows less viable builds to shine.

This is such a weird change and it’s even weirder to see people praise it. This current tend of gamers asking for grinds to be removed because they have 1 hour a week to play is really frustrating. And it’s even more a shame that so many developers are listening to these “dad gamers”.

How long will it be before you quit?

I guess it’s mostly casuals, who think “well NOW I’m going to be in top 10, because finally paragon is equal”. No you won’t.

Leaderboards remain irrelevant for why this is a good change tbh.
Heck, another good change; remove leaderboards.

is D4 that bad that you just hang around D3 forums all the time instead of playing D4?

Yupp. That’s me. By the time i get to paragon 800 + some, i’m done with the jurney and just bored enough to quit the season. I got my augments, my lego gems to somewhat high enough for me, can farm GR 90 in a good pace is where i feel i’m done, and i just can’t grind for more to keep up with everyone.

Some people can play more than one game with out quiting :man_shrugging:t2:

I don’t think devs would hesitate to increase the points if it feels to few. Also paragon LEVELS are not caped, paragon POINTS are caped. I don’t know how will that work though.

I just played for 4 hrs, unlike you I can do several things in a day.

You would think that the quitter would know this by now.

Now, now… I think you haven’t realised old Bruhvata can :poop: on D4 on several forums, and still simp out for bathtub streamers at the same time.

Correct the quitter has not quit the forums, she now has 3 forums to do her thing on.

Hey. I watch them too. There are no good D3 streams anymore. Something must be on second screen when I play. :joy:

2000 is better. I hope they will change for this.

" We are introducing changes to Paragon Points to work in tandem with Solo Self Found and the Season 29 theme. You can only assign a total of 800 Paragon Points to your character."

I’m hoping “in tandem” means only with SSF. If you think about it, P800 is pretty meaningless if you can group to level legendary gems.

P800 in only SSF will mean 80% of players will have competitive gear and augments in the first one or two weeks.

It will give competitive leaderboard players more reason to think the SSF leaderboards will be more valid representation of player skill then the non-SSF leaderboards.

I take this as 800 cap in season SSF. No cap in season. No cap in nonseason SSF. And ofcourse no cap in regular nonseason. Same with the new 200 per slot cap.

Pure speculation tho. We will see in few days time.

B/c its normally boring beyond day 3-4. This last season with the altar was the first season worth playing over 2k for us casuals.

I think D3 is best without a cap. Your punishing real players for the illusion it hurts bots.

It does hurt botters; however, more importantly, it helps level the playing field for all players. People who play more will have better gear, augments, and legendary gems. Is that not enough? Do players need thousands upon thousands more main stat to compete?

It rewards the majority of real players in the competition.

This was one of the most requested features through the years.

Unless your goal is competing for the boards on season you would be better off just playing NS.

Some will do that. Others will be drawn even more to seasons.
