Thank you for patch 2.6.7a, i’m very happy to play 2H WW/Rend barb again. Thank you for listening to the feedback and revert the lamentation nerf.

Nothing exite me more than seeing underused items and skills get buffed to at least T16 viable. I hope everyone can post in this thread and share your opinions as well as your own wishlist. Just bear in mind that Diablo 3 is maintain by a very limited recource team, so don’t expect more than just numbers tweak.

Skorn
Primary affixes : critical hit damage increase by 60% - 100%
40% chance to inflict bleed for 5000% weapon damage over 5 seconds.
New legendary power : you deal 10% increased damage for 4 seconds when you hit bleeding enemies. This effect stacks up to 5 times.

Eberli charlo
Reduce the cooldown of heaven’s fury by 50%. Increase the damage of fist of the heaven by 250%-350% while heaven’s fury is active.

Serpent sparker
You may have 2 extra hydra active at a time and increase the damage of Hydra by 450% - 550%.

Tyrael’s might
Secondary affixes : +50% damage against demons.
New legendary power : after casting holy, fire or lightning skills, increase your armor by 100% for 5 seconds.

Blind faith
New legendary power : enemies killed while blinded errupts a flashing light that blinds all nearby enemies in 15 yards for 4 seconds.

Madawc sorrow
New legendary power : while under the effect of war cry, increased the damage of weapon throw by 450% - 550%.

Helltrapper
New legendary power : you shoot two addittional bolas at a time. Increase the damage of bolas by 450% - 550%.

Schaefers’s Hammer
Primary affixes : +30% - 50% lightning elemental damage.

Casting a Lightning skill charges you with Lightning, causing you to deal 650-850% damage as Lightning every second for 5 seconds to nearby enemies.
While the lightning charge are active, you gain 15% increased attack speed and 50% increased movement speed.

Maximus
Primary affix : +30% - 50% fire elemental damage.

Chance on hit to summon a demonic slave. Each +% fire elemental damage you have will empowers the demon and it’s fire chain to deal 50% of your damage at maximum.

Mirrorball.
Magic missile fires 2 extra missiles and it’s damage increased by 150% - 200% for each active mirror image you have.

Archmage vicalyke.
New legendary power : Mirror image now gain the duplicate rune and last for 10 seconds.

Split tusk.
New legendary power : Increase the damage of zombie charger by 550% - 650%.

Burst of wrath.
Killing enemies now has 100% chance to restore 20% of your resource.

Mempo of twilight.
New legendary power : Your generators now has +20% critical hit chance.

Kridershot.
Elemental arrow now generates 3-4 hatred and the damage is increased by 350% - 450%.

Wrath of the bone king
Primary affixes : +30% - 50% cold elemental damage.
New legendary power : Your area damage now slows enemies and hit twice.

The mortal drama.
Double the numbers of bombardment impatcs and every 10 wrath you spend will increase the next bombardment damage by 50% up to 500% max.

Skull of resonance.
Each enemy hit by threatening shout will increase your movement speed by 10% up to 40% max.

A lot of good idea, but I dont think we need more % fire they have many atm. Maybe improve % on physical, can be nice.

You’re right. But the goal was 2H weapons ( in this case, maximus ) to actually relevant at T16. 2H weapons are in general inferior than dual weild or 1H + off hand builds.

The ideal 2H weapon for +%physical is of course The heart slaughter. 2H polearm is basicly a double minority weapon in Diablo 3.
I haven’t got any idea how to buff The heart slaugther. I want it to have more than just + %physical damage. Will update later.

Definitely hope the team takes these kind of ideas to heart, 2h with a few exceptions just tends to lose out to dual wielding when it comes to barb, especially when you’ve got not one but two 2pc 1h weapon sets (istvans and bul kathos).
Sword and board would also be a good pairing to re-evaluate the place of as well, that’s another combo rarely seen on barbs.

I would like to see items that cause skills to proc other skills.
In Wizard - lightning skills proccing others would be cool, like imagine if electrocute could proc shock, or magic missile proccing twisters

Imagine if Monk’s LTK could proc WoL, or if Mystic allies could proc Exploding Palm
More ideas would be if Demon Hunter’s strafe could proc spinning chakram around enemies.

Just some things to really mix things up, since mixing abilities under a global or a particular buff could open up more builds

Lets say you have an item that makes generators attack really fast, what if there could be another item that procs a particular attack off of that, and some items that can empower said attack.

Here’s a few suggestions:

Sword of Ill Will
Chakram deals 2-2.5% increased damage for every point of Hatred you have.

Spines of Seething Hatred
Chakram now generate 3-4 Hatred and deals 200-250% increased damage.

Depth Diggers
All resource generatings skills deal 80-100% increased damage.

Absolutely!

Hellfire ring.
New legendary power : chance on hit to engulf the ground in lava, dealing 10% of your damage. Each percentage of + %fire elemental damage will increase the lava damage.

The grandfather.
Primary affixes : + %life
New legendary power : while above 90% health, increase your damage by a percentage of your %life.

Dovu energy trap.
New legendary power : after reaching max recource, you gain 50% recource cost reduction for 5 seconds.

Warmonger.
Primary affix : increase crit damage by 60% - 100%
New legendary power :
You gain 7% increase damage and movemeny speed for each second you’re in combat, stacks up to 5 times.
This effect is loss after 4 seconds you’re not in combat.

The horadric hamburger.
New legendary power : critical hits now has 30%-40% chance to reduce the cooldown of your potion by 1 second.

Su wong diviner.
Acid cloud gain the effect of Lob Blob Bom rune and increace the damage of acid cloud by 350% - 450%.

Moonlight ward.
Hitting an enemy within 15 yards has a chance to ward you with shards of Arcane energy that explode when enemies get close, dealing 10% of your damage as Arcane to enemies within 15 yards. Each percentage of + %arcane elemental damage will increase the damage.

Erlang stone.
Gain 80% increased movement speed for 5 seconds after casting dashing strike.

K’mar tenclip.
Strafe gains the effect of the drifting shadow rune and you also throws spiked trap while channeling strafe.

Cape of the dark night.
New legendary power : Spike trap now detonates instanly and increase the damage of spike trap by 300%-400% against slowed enemies.

Spaulders of zakara.
New legendary power : killing an elite pack will grant you a random shrine effect for 15 seconds.

Windforce.
Secondary affixes : 50% chance to knockback on hit.
New legendary power : Damage you deal is increased by 10% for every 10 yards between you and the enemy hit. Maximum 50% increase at 50 yards.

Follower became useful. Make them “pet” or “part of us” so they can benefit from our character’s set item power as well. Remove the cap number from the follower as well.

I have been saying this for 3 years now. Barbarian is basically a dual wielding class now, since our 2h builds now are dead in the meta (Leapquake and Charge barb).

A 2h overhaul would be much appreciated.

As for HotA, IMO the rework on Remorseless was good, but not enough. HotA still far behind WW Rend, so we could use further buff to the Hammer. Also consider resetting Charge if you hit at least 1 enemy In Raekor 2pc, it will lose it clunkiness and make a lot more sense. Right now you got to hit 1 or 3+ enemies. If you hit 2, you get stuck without charges. That’s very clunky and drive people away from this build.

Greetings hadd, I agree the 2 pcs raekor should be change that way for a better and smooth gameplay. I’m not playing raekor because I don’t like it when i’m messed up my charge and not able to do anything except running aound and wait for the charges off cooldowns.

I also agree that HOTA needs more damage buff. I don’t even bother trying out the newly buffed remoseless because the numbers are too small.

But i disagree about barbarian is designed to be a dual weild class. I think the problem lies on the weapon, not the class.
As everyone knows, 2H build is inferior because :

  1. Less weapon socket
  2. Less legendary affix
  3. Less ancient item for LOD build

Big weapons need big buffs

For damage, I think a simple base weapon damage increase would suffice. It is a lazy fix but would do it. If you mess with stats and sockets Crusader might become broken, with its ability to wield a shield and a 2h.

As for utility and quality of life, the procs are another concern. 2h ww rend suffers because of CDR, slow hits also affect Zodiac from proccing more often, therefore you have a tough time keeping perma-wrath = death. This also applies to life per fury spent. It should be doubled on 2handers

Buffing procs for 2h would make this builds viable, and also its base damage to give them the “slow but powerful hits” feel its so desperately needs.

2h loses to dual wielding, even when the best dual wielding setups are weaksauce like BK and IB sets. That tells the very sad state of Barbarian 2hs. There’s your one skill multiplier 2h for your build that gets cubed, and that’s it.

Like the new Ambos whirlwind procing rend and the Won Khim Lau tempest rush procing cyclone strike. Yeah I think every class needs at least one of these.

Speaking for myself, I’d love to be able to go back to Skorn as a wizard. It has a legacy feel. Maybe the legendary power could increase critical hit damage by 450% or whatever’s clever. That would make it usable for everyone.

Everything you said is spot on! I agree that we need to check how to 2H buffs would affect Crusaders. That’s why I’m thinking about this one :

Ageless Might.
New legendary power : While weilding 2H weapon, increase your damage by 100%. Triple this bonus against enemies affected by Threatening Shout.

By gating the power behind a mighty belt, crusaders won’t be able to take benefit from it.
But we still need to think a solution for proc rates problem. I’ll come back to it later.

Yep, very sad state for 2H setup. That’s why it has to be an incetive to actually weild the 2H weapon. But before that, we need to fix the 2H issue’s mentioned by Hadd.

Check my above post about Strafe also throws Spike Traps.

I agree. That’s why on my first post, the proposed Skorn buff can work for every class. The weapon can proc itself, something like Bane of the Trapped.

The Heart Slaughter
New Legendary Power: Critical Hits apply Dread for 5 seconds.
Enemies affected by Dread deal 20% less damage
For each enemy affected by Dread increase your Critical Hit Chance by 1% up to a maximum of 25%
If a Boss is affected by Dread gain the maximum Critical Hit Chance.
