It looks like it was going on all the way back to 21 and no response from Blizzard in any threads that come up??? Help plz.

For crying out loud, this has been a problem for over 3 years.
Yes, I am on the bnet launcher, yes, I am online and there is not an issue at all with my connection.
My “status” is “appear offline”, admittedly, but every other game in the launcher works perfectly fine like that.
There aren’t even any agreements for me to accept, what does this error message even mean?
Everything, including the bnet app is set to auto-update, I couldn’t not be on the correct version if I tried.

This is almost certainly caused by information that is stored locally on your system by either Battle.net Launcher or the game itself.

I say this because I have successfully logged on with a separate machine on a fresh install, but still get this bug on my actual computer. I even bought a 2nd copy to test and that still gets this bug on a FRESH account, so it’s not account based.

The problem is I have;

  • Fresh installed both D2R and Battle.net
  • Deleted my ‘Saved Game’ folder
  • Deleted all Battle.net files in %Program Data% and %Localappdata%
  • Deleted D2R in my registry

None of this works. So I have no idea where this information is stored.

Okay I have more news.

I copied the ‘Battle.net’ & ‘Blizzard Entertainment’ folders located in %Localappdata% and copied the ‘Battle.net’, ‘Battle.net_components’ & ‘Blizzard Entertainment’ from %ProgramData% from a 2nd computer that can run this game without the bug.

I then put these on an external hard drive and used them the over write those folders on my computer that keeps having this bug and it worked. I can now log in normally on both computers.

I know this is a long work around that isn’t helpful to most people but it means the source of the bug is somewhere in those files and somehow just deleting those folders isn’t enough, because I defintely deleted all those folders previously.

This game is a joke…
First, I am unable to play in my Xbox Series X Console.
The error was “An issue occurred while communicating with the game servers. Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.”

Then, I purchased GeforceNow (Yes I bought 2 copies: console & PC)
Now, it shows “You have not been online in the last 30 days. Please start the game while online to check for any login agreement.”

Oh, come on Blizzard??!!!

I’m having this same issue - it has been ongoing for over a month now, and no one from Blizzard has responded.
Sending a support ticket is useless, as their steps are worthy of triple facepalm, and doesnt work. In the end, they point us back to this forum which has zero Blizzard response.

Looking at the “blz-log” file in D2R directory, the following is the content –
D2BackendServices: error: 666 Error Source: 0 Error Value: 666 String: An issue occurred while communicating with the game servers.

Btw Blizzard, your mobile app is also not connecting for a month now.

Blizzard please respoond!

Can Blizzard just show us the log in agreements so we can accept them?

Or Maybe Change the error message to something useful.

Me too . Will this be going on forever ?

Freacking Helll I DID IT !!!

I SOLVED “You have not been online in the last 30 days. Please start the game while online to check for any login agreements.”

I use another computer that could play the game and Copy 2 folder in C/Programdata/ which is “Battle.net_components” and “Blizzard Entertainment” and REPLACE it in my pc ,NOT overwrite (delete the old one and use the new one)

I dont know the actual technicaly how it work but I can play the game now

Can you share the files so some of us can try out and see whether that works for us? If so, that will prove that Blizzard need to fix this. Thanks

I fresh install D2R on a new PC and also on an Asus ROG Ally, both are seeing the same error. I tested my Nintendo Switch copy and it works though.
