The question remains to be seen if that procedure just resets the timer based on that other computers most recent time connected to Battle.net, or if it actually solves the problem of the problematic computer connecting to the servers and resetting the timer like it’s supposed to.
It could also point someone who has a bit of hackery/coding skills towards development of a tool that could dodge the 30 day timer all together without the need of rolling back the date on your computer.
I look again and its likely the folder “Blizzard Entertainment” (in C/Programdata) hold significant to this problem because inside that folder are cache files.
Maybe try delete this folder and start the game could be the solution. dont forget to back up.
Actually I have tried clean installs on 2PCs and they are not working. However, it’s strange that I am able to connect to my Nintendo Switch copy.
I will just try asking the same question to their support forever till they are frustrated with this and escalate up to the real technical team who can help.
I’m guessing when blizzard remade it and put it in “Online” mode they gave 30 days to grandfather in your account… if you didn’t log in then poof have to re buy the game
Like i said I just bought the game again 10-4 and now i can play no problem.
Also I noticed, I left my game on all night and when i got back on in the morning I got a connection to server was lost and then the “you have no been signed in for 30 days” msg.
I restarted PC and now i can play again.
Pretty cheesy they did this. Lowered my appreciation of Blizzard entertainment.
Yes it’s in my transaction history. I mean Blizzard didn’t mention that there is this requirement to keep on logging in every 30 days. I guess for all D2R players who just didn’t login within 30 days this will happen to them. I think this is a big bug.
Strange thing is that for my Switch copy, it’s still working, no issue logging in.
Another thing I noticed is that there seem to be no more “Blizzard Support Staff” monitoring the D2R forums or replying to our queries any more. I wonder is it better to flag this D2R issue in a D4 forum instead
Received WARNING from customer support that the support they are providing is what they have. Don’t ask for more as there’s none and asking will just get ban from them.
Actually the email from them said that I can reopen the issue if it’s unresolved, which is true in my case but instead of fixing the issue. They decided to SCARE instead of FIX.
Anyway, tried searching youtube and it seems like this issue had being there for years and no fix is provided. Blizzard just don’t care.
Will uninstall my D2R and not support any more new Blizzard games. Thank you Blizzard for your lousy customer support.
Found the solution, apparently the Battle.net authorization server ip were blocked in certain place, and you need to add the ip to hosts file.
“Adding 117.52.35.104 nydus#battle#net (change # to dot becoz link not allowed here) to Hosts file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts”
Need Elevated Permission to edit the hosts files with notepad. Google it if you dont know how to do it…it actually same method to bypass adult website if your country blocked it.
Hi, you are right!!! I managed to login but I used an easier method. I do have a VPN plan and I set my VPN to Korea while logging in to the Asia server and it works! Thanks a lot for this info!
After the login, you can just off the VPN and you can normally login like usual.
Hahaha, sall good, may i know which country you from? Mine is Malaysia, where certain websites and IPs are censored due to the country’s governance policies, i suspect that IP were previously used to host illegal website/adult website, although the IP upon checking, are hosted in Korea…
Singapore. I don’t not sure why these IPs are blocked but it might be possible for this authentication check, only Korean IPs are allowed due to Asia server being Korean hosted.
Maybe for US/EU users this might be different. At least we found a combination that help to unblock this! So for Asia server, just set to Korea to unblock this and we are free to login!
Cant believe Singapore have this issue as well…the problem is switching to US/EU server doesnt solve the Authentication Server IP issue…which i think that Blizzard rerouted all Asia region IP to that Authentication Server IP hosting in Korea even your changed Server location. Anyway happy gaming, hope Blizzard still have actual staff that solved this kind of problem instead of DEI staff spending time belittle other on twitter.
Actually there is also a need to clear some old data files for this to work too. I uninstall on and reinstall on my other PC and apply this fix. Without clearing some old cache files, this dont work too.
