What is this crap blizzard!?!? You banned my name for WHAT. I’ve been using this since 2005. How the hell do i get my characters name"Fatius" un-banned?!?!

Actually, my in-game name was banned even though I can still use it on an old character in Diablo 3. I can no longer make new characters with my name in Diablo 3 or in D2R because someone at blizzard decided to use it so it’s now “reserved” and it comes up with the profane text.
It took them over a year to finally get back to me after “pushing it up” saying “sorry, but it’s reserved and you can no longer use it ever”
What was the name?
Huh… weird… I just went and tested it and this must have been a recent change, bc I still have the ticket in my support queue, but I just went into D2R and was able to make a character with that name again. They told me “sorry, but just use a different one” and as of Season 2 launch of D2R it was still the same. Gonna test it in D3 and see if it works.

Not really the same thing OP was saying though. He initially thought his character was banned from playing because of the name, rather than not being able to create a new character with that name because it was reserved.
oh of course, my initial thought when someone posts about “profane” names and they aren’t is my situation. But you’re right it is a different issue than mine. Which sucks, because I have used my name for all of my characters and then suddenly someone comes along and is like no this is mine now and you cant use it anymore as in my case.
Happy to report my profane name is still working, no issues!
