Why just not improving drop rate of high runes?

Diablo’s drop system is different to WoW. Here normal mobs and chests can drop GG loot. The concept is the same, but the implementation needs to be somewhat different, and by no means it should significantly make the game easier, it should only reward the same amount of playtime that dedicated players do in a few days and casuals do in few weeks the same way.

Hrs are not commen and it should be that way.
first 3-4day of ladder found jah.2sur.1ohm.1vex. playing 4-5 hours a day. solo or group.

Again and again people come up with this nonsense…

Doesn’t matter if your personal opinion is for or against higher drop rates, but please please to not ignore basic supply and demand rules…

You just can’t sell more stuff just because you got more stuff, you need people who buy it ffs.

The good thing is that we’re getting a lot of eyes on this topic. Now already 21,000 people have seen this and are talking about it. Talking about why that runes are so rare if the game and economy depends on them. People WANT To have more HR’s so they can buy and sell more items, the runes are a good currency but they’re so rare that no one has them to trade or people that do have them are being very cautious about any trades. And worst yet they also are getting used up in runewords every second so that takes even more potential currency out of the economy. It’s a terrible balance right now.

Many RWs has from-to stat ranges and there are many players who go for perfect rolls, so there is a small amount of truth in saying “more stuff, more to sell”.

The fact that his topic keeps coming up and we keep seeing idiots say its “fine” is humorous at best, sad at worst. If I was a manager at Microsoft, I’d turn off the D2 and D2R servers. Too much cost, not enough value.

Absolutely not. It bases on the idea that RTM sides got a lack of supply, which is totally naive.

I suggest we find a way to contact the creator of d2r directly and point them towards this discussion, the 20,000 views and the people talking about the abysmal drop rates. we need to let the creators know that the majority of players are not happy with this type of “balance” where only cheaters profit and the regular guy playing at home has no chance to compete with the botters and the item seller. We need to make our voices heard on this one and not back down.

Majority? Few casuals you mean. Your suggestion is laughable. Majority is fine with drop rates.

obv you are not the majority. You people is just the loudest.

You mean people like you who dont know how to play the game.

Its easy to get Hrs.

MAKE HRS DROP HARD AGAIN!!!

They are not supposed to be common, but you can definitely find multiple high runes in 100 hours if you know what to do.

They’ve already boosted the HR drop rate once before, it will happen again, because the old balance was made with the bots in mind, now that they will crack down on botters and ban these cheaters. the balance will be remade again for legit players.

Do not be afraid of change, I know your simple minds cannot comprehend another rune change but it has happened before and will happen again so get used to it.

Runes drop chances were really bad in 1.10 thats why it was changed. Its pretty much perfect now. I would only maybe tweak some runes so for example Lem drops little bit more than Pul.

I have very hard time to believe you dude. I seriously doubt you spend 8 hours in game daily and didnt fine any HR. You either troll or you play very inefficiently.

it’s supposed to take you weeks to months, even years if you are holy grailing, this is intentional and good.

By your logic then , only 1 HR dropping for the entire playerbase is a good idea. Make HR so rare that only 1 will ever drop in the history of diablo.

It’s not good. Making them more common will help economy grow and for people to be able to trade. It is a positive for everyone, there is no situation where making runes more common hurts the game.

no, my logic is keep the drop rates where they are at. if you want high runes, get to farming, you will either get them to drop or find something to trade for them.

That’s the problem. You’re not going to find them by farming, you’re going to have to trade other items for high runes that were found by people botting or duping.

no, you will find them farming, it takes a long time. weeks to months, thousands of boss runs. this is the point. get grinding.

Yup this is true, the HR’s you get will all be trading from people who have used a bot or bought them on the item sites. You will not find them yourself in game, and if you manage to ever find the 1 in a million chance, it will be the only one you find.
