Why just not improving drop rate of high runes?

Me neither, I use other sites where real money is not involved and you only trade (exchange) items.

Life has gotten faster. Many of us can’t play even a few hours a day anymore. Drops need improvement. We’re NOT talking about D3 crazy easy drops. There’s has to be a reasonable amount. And everyone is mad about bots, this can set back bot operations, chat spams etc. If you’re not a boter or advertiser, who takes advantege of players, who don’t have time, or give up the grind, you’ll want REASONABLE improvements to drop rates. I think.

I demand that Zod runes drop less often that cracked sashes…

Wait… Nevermind.

You are trading for botted/duped items, or are botting yourself to try to keep your profits high

There is a reason this has twice as many likes as the original post.

that the community is pretty toxic and extremely anti-variety?

And the reason is:

Forums are probably consisting of 30+ year olds that mainly come from having played D2 LoD vanilla.

And I am completely burnt out of playing Diablo 2 Resurrected after finding Ohm and Cham as my only high runes during the time playing the game:

To complete my characters, I need so many items I have never ever actually found, and have only heard rumors about people actually finding in game lobbies I have played once; a Ber rune supposedly dropped in a hell cow game, and a Jah rune found by a friend once.
Never seen anyone claim to have found a high rune in a lobby with legitimacy.

And I do know they drop and that they do drop relatively often when you grind mindlessly for hours on an end with no other goal than farming old content for runes.

And to complete my characters, I need, from the top of my head:

Necromancer:
Enigma
Death’s Web
3x Poison Facet 5/5
Chains of Honor for mercenary

Sorceress:
Infinity
Chains of Honor for mercenary

Paladin:
Exile
Enigma
Grief

Barbarian:
Grief
Grief
Breath of the Dying
Fortitude

Amazon:
Faith
Ice
Fortitude

and I’m not even on my first self found Jah or Ber in 20 years.

…give me exceptionally hard content rather than the grind.

The forum is filled with people who bought their runes online or traded for them cheaply as they were botted, and so they are scared that what they bought for money, would drop in value if normal players could find them

Tell me a community that isn’t toxic? Xd🤣

How about introducing the following mechanic?

After X hours of active playing (or killing Y numbers of elites/bosses), if you did not get any “high level item” drop (either including hrs and end-game items in this category or creating timers for them separately) your chances for finding something from this/these category/categories would increase by Z amount/percentage. After finding anything from these items, the timer would reset. X, Y, Z and the amount/percentage for this example is something that should be decided carefully, nothing too crazy should be introduced.

  • Effect for players who already find these due to playing a lot, or playing in big groups: technically nothing as their timer would reset before even the first trigger would fire.
  • Effect for those players who do not have time to play or who play alone: very slightly increased drop chance of valuable items.
  • Overall effect on trading: I am not convinced the second group ever does any noticable trading, so as long as the trigger values are not stupidly high, there should be no huge impact on trading. This trigger can also be only introduced in non-ladder, to keep ladder “clean”.

This has to be done. Those of us who are playing 8+ hours a day are still not finding the HR’s I have never found a single HR since I started d2r and may never find one since the rate is 1 in 110,000 or 0.01% rate to find it.

We all know it will be done in the next ladder, the devs know it. The problem is the people who use the bot and the cheat are not wanting it to happen so they can keep a market on the high runes.

This is the same people who didnt want anni changes because they are wanting to corner the market on anni. its just sad these delicate people who want their markets protected…

The only thing that makes this game unplayable is getting things too easy. Once you have a build that can beat /p 8 with mf gear and then gear up 5-6 other characters it becomes difficult to want to play SP. I played a very little group play for CS and stuff this ladder, still prefer solo play online. Much slower to get gear than single but I have traded a bit and have a solid farmer. I don’t care what others do. The market is the market. I just keep plugging away.

If I had one suggestion to make multiplayer better, it would be to have a reset in game to allow a good team to stay together instead of having to relist. Or barring that, allow a party to stay together for the remaking of the game like D3. I think more people would play multiplayer that way and get the higher drop rate they are seeking. Having to leave group after a 30 second CS run and wait for it to reform and hope you get in before they kill everything, while frantically searching the lobby list seems tedious and unnecessary.

Make it better for partying and solve a lot of other issues.

Can you show me proff of this? i guess not. why make up lies?
Ahh. you are just another troll. its ok to be bad.
Stay bad.

There is plenty of proof. the main bot people are using has like 20,000 people in their discord right now. The jsp posts where guys are continually selling jah and ber runes their bots find, you can message any of these guys and they will admit they’re cheating.

The only persons who are not in favor of increasing the HR are those who cheat, or are buying the rune from some shady place. You know like most people who claim to be legit are actually not.

The guys who are cheating LOVE the fact that runes are so rare, its how they’re selling them for such high prices.

LoL. cheater would love it to be easier to find, so they can sell more. Your logic dosent add up.
So you use bots since you want it easier to find.
If you can not find out how to farm, its not others fault

It will not be easy to sell them when all legit players have it in their inventories.

Unlike now, I played 10 hours all week and not find any HR not even a mid rune.
So us legit players cannot find them.

10 hours playing and farming the best spots, the pit, trav, arcane and chaos and not a single HR drops. every single day. and you think I’m not farming,. pretty hilarious. You’re a joker.

Ok bud. if you belive that. this game is not for you.

You wont take me up on the challenge. Lets go on the game right now and search for high runes together. You wont do it because you know like me that it will take over 100 hours of gaming to have even a chance to find one.

Prove to me that the HR is common and you find them a lot, prove it, Lets go in the game and you show me all the HRs you find ok? I’ll help you kill stuff.

This idea has been suggested years ago to WoW devs and they eventually brought out various means of converting “successful boss kills” to gear (eg badges).

Have you farmed the Countess at all?
