Why just not improving drop rate of high runes?

For me it feels like they already increased the drop rate alot. But then i thought ah maybe my killrate just is alot higher now since they made the game alot easier.

Drops arent increased since 1.13 (edited), So is you, lucky i guess

If you run 1000s of chaos P1 runs, you get 1 HR about every 200-300 runs, even in Legacy. I was curios if they increased the HR drop for D2R. But after a huge amount of runs, it seems to be the same, maybe a slight increase in D2R. With about 6000 cs p1 runs, no anni, you can lvl from 88 to 97 in Legacy 1.14d (old experiment). I found about 23 HR’s (more if you count in the Guls I could have upgraded to Vex). Sure it’s RNG and you could get less or more in the same amount of runs, but it was pretty continuous for me. Didn’t make the same amount in D2R. But when I started running CS in baal games to provide dia XP for highlevels. I found 2 HRs in about 400 runs.

That’s my experience which matches with other folks doing p8 Nila/Dia/Baal. Also got reports about P8 Cows that seem to match and some even shared their drops from Arcane in p8. So if you farm a lot and fast, HR’s are pretty common, but it feels like you have to invest a lot of runs before they keep coming.

I don’t think there is a good droprate between those who want them increased and those who don’t want them increased. Because that are fine with the droprates are already finding enough and will just find more (getting either richer or more bored or both), while those who don’t find enough, would need the droprate to be cut so low that they drop about 10 times as much as now. I don’t think that’s healthy

Lol, we had some conspiracy theories in overwatch. People who didnt want to admit that their skill sucks so they came up with this “my account is targeted to be stuck” nonsense. What would be purpose of it in this case?

If you are not finding anything, you are doing something wrong, not playing effectively, wasting time on too long runs or idk, there could be several reasons. But if you actualy can invest some time to play, you will find stuff. You cant be that unlucky to not find good items in several months.

But i am working on MF guide, maybe i will be able to help you with some tips when it will be finished. Stay tunned.

Chaos sanctuary is more 1 in 700.

1 in 200 only on players 8.

3 days, 10 hours each day, ohm and Lo, enjoying every minute! Don’t touch the drop rates.

I used to get one HR every few days simply farming p7 cows on sorc or p5 travincal on barb (and by farm, I mean clear them as fast as possible, no time idled either).

People saying it’s possible you won’t find a hr for an entire ladder are exaggerating.

I did see some statistics I dont remember from where showing droprate in 8man cow vs 1man. That showed you need to do 3 runs solo vs 1 run 8 man for same drop chance. (But then of cause your the only one that can loot). For me droprate is fine 1 man but the xp sucks.

Yeah, the runes are way too rare.

You can organize mf parties easily.

Somebody needs to be on the edges of the normal distribution curve. The answer is simple. You are just unlucky. I know it’s a hard thing to accept, but this is the beauty of the game: the fact that there is no certainty that you will be rewarded for the time invested in the game.

P.S. Aren’t you the same guy that stated above that crafted countless Vex from runes dropped by the countess, and made a Lo in a single day with the runes dropped from her?

Clearly no, as one would be able to tell from my statements in this thread.

Can I ask you a genuine question ? How long have you been playing D2 ? Did you play years ago and just came back after being away for some time ? Just curious what the demography is with people wanting drastic changes to the core mechanics whether they are from the continuously played or new/returning player camp.

And here’s me with 4 ohms and Lo doing 600 chaos runs…thanks for all your rng!
Edit: (4th dropped tonight woot)

Blizzard shouldn’t break the game for others.

Blizzard DIDN’T calculated something important and pretty obvious because more than 20 years after launch, we’re still SWARMED by bots and they CAN’T fix it! Game IS broken!

The content of the game must be adjusted to the rythm the game is played, not just because “some people got used to it”.
If you can make the whole game to lvl 99 in 3 weeks passed hell mode, it should not take you 2 years to make your first Enigma, pretty much common sense that the stuff you’re to use end-game should be available during the same window of time.
I haven’t dropped a Ber within 20 years I played that game, this is broken, not just random, don’t tell people they’re impatient because you just told them earlier “it’s luck”.

Who in it’s right mind gonna pass all challenges and tell himself:
I’m gonna continue to spend 6000% of the time I’ve already spent making 100% of the game to gear up so I can complete same previous content again!

The people who insist that Diablo II must never be changed are usually people who are fully decked out in gear they bought from JSP. They didn’t find any of the high runes in the runewords they are using, the massive amount of botting just floods the market with stuff nobody can really find without playing all day for years on end.

According to Silospen Drop calc, the odds of a ber rune dropping from one of the high council members in Travincal is about 1 in 83,000. There are 11 council members in Travincal (one of the best high rune drop spots). I estimate that I can do about 50 Trav runs an hour on my blizzard sorc. At that rate it would take me an average of about 150 hours to farm 1 ber rune (feel free to check/correct my math). I recently checked out a website where you can buy items for d2r (gasp!) out of curiosity. On the site a ber rune goes for around $8. That is such a drastic disparity in time value that I am almost tempted to buy a ber rune. I almost feel like I would be a fool for trying to grind out runs for that elsuive ber rune. Now, that being said:

So far I have found 1 Ohm rune and 2 Lo runes and 3 - 4 Gul runes from grinding the high council in SC non ladder. That is from playing casually ( a few hours a week) since pretty much the game was released and taking several months off of d2r because I was busy at work. Thats not to bad I guess. But I saw people with Breath of the Dying and Enigma the first week of the D2R release. THE FIRST WEEK! I can only conclude based on the prevelance of botting and the cheap prices of high runes that the buying of high runes is pretty rampant. And the problem is that devalues the grind for me. Maybe they should increase the drop odds of high runes. If nothing else it would make the grind seem like less of a waste.

The unstoppable bots have already ruined the D2R economy, and fans are still believed that the HR drop rate are fine when the items website selling Ber for $10 and SoJ for $7.

As a 20 years of D2 fan, there is no point for me to grind anymore on Ladder, its just totally waste of your life.

i am so sad to say that the game is dead. atm i am trying to do a single baal run on NM and there is NO PLAYERS, Lobby bug? I dont know but i cant find a single guy

Whoever thinks that drop rates are find has either bot or he has no life.
yes i was younger and could farm some hours tho after 20y there are still items i HAVENT seen and this is totaly stupid.
When we say to incease the drop rates, we dont speak Diablo 3 wise but to actually reward our hours speding to farm. Isnt normal to literally req a f…ing life time to find Tyralel’s Might for example.
Why ppl compare everything we say with D3? and not with POE’s drop rates for example, which are fine.

Literally atm when typing this, i am in NM dif trying to find a damn Baal run and all i can see are 4 games. GJ
