Why Economy Arguments are Utter Garbage (in regards to P8)

Agreed… it would quickly remove all of those nonsense topics from the front page.

I mean, we could compare how many people “liked” the topic vs how many people viewed the topic and go that way if he wants to play this game

Flawed logic as usual. Just shows how much credibility you guys have.

Anyways this whole discussion is futile - we already had changes and we will have many more. This is literally just a waste of time. You knew what you signed up for because Blizzard/VV were honest and transparent since announcement of the game.

Good news is you still have D2LoD for you people. Play it and do the same thing for 30 years.

Very good point. 22 likes out of 1k views. Not exactly “the vast majority” ehh?

Any single or any number of players creating experiences outside the loop does not negate the existence of the loop. Diablo II has a core game loop and you are wrong to say it does not.

Did you happen to ask a few million people and come to a conclusion… or did you just make it up?

Sure you can have P8 but no increase in : zero-drop chance, no increase in experience, no increase in item drops.

Only buff mobs so you can have challenge. That I would agree with.
Nothing else not even 1 more exp.

Did I make up a fact? No. Facts make themselves. Diablo II has a core gameplay loop and you are wrong to say it does not.

And this loop is what exactly?

The threads against have a similar ratio.

Either way it’s fairly irrelevant information as only a tiny fraction of D2 players visit these boards. It’s mostly just people that have issues with the states of things that come here. Which lends a lot of credence to most people frankly have no problem with the lack of /players for online play.

I would suspect if the pkayerbase was surveyed broadly, a minority would be opposed to adding p8 online. One still needs to gear one’s character where doing p8 is not an efficiency hit.

Yep… I’m just here to whine about this broken gamelist / non-existent chat lobby / no channels / in-game chat bug / butchered friends-list system/ etc.

While I wait for a blue post to show up and explain why all of those things are still sucking just days before ladder, I push troll’s buttons for fun…

P8 people couldn’t care less about those problems since they want online single-player.

I’d assume so. The largest part of D2 players don’t even play online.

The difference is offline is a hack fest. Online is at least a cleaner environment. Even if p8 was introduced online, you still need a p8 capable character.

Online is just as bad, except the hacking comes by way of credit cards :stuck_out_tongue:

Also keep in mind the people playing now will still be playing regardless of if /players is added or not. They’ve mostly been doing so for many years not. However we WILL lose players if changes like that are made. There is nothing good to come from it.

We’ll have less players overall, less players in public games, and less people to trade with, and those people will have less need for items to begin with. All in all it’s unhealthy for the game. D2’s lasted 22 years… maybe changing things to a winning formula is a bad idea?

Well, I hope they do add a more challenging difficulty with increased drops, but make it too challenging for any solo viability.

the “/players8” idea is just silly when there can be a more strategic implementation that encourages teamplay.

So cringe. The way you try to insult anyone who has a different view than you is just like that child you speak of.

It’s really not hard to understand why people want P8, it’s only the natural progress that this game and my like it point you towards. The game should progress in difficulty/reward as your character progresses. What’s wrong with D2? The system is designed to BOTH force you to play with other people to take advantage of this natural progression while at the same time give zero/negative incentive to play with other people because of the loot system and easy difficulty.

I agree, but it’s still not hard to understand why people want P8. It’s really not a greed thing, it is where the game naturally pushes you.

Again though Players 8 doesn’t make the game more difficult. It just means people farm pits/at for increased rewards. Players 8 pits is still easier than Players 1 Worldstone though it’s way more xp and loot.
