Why do people blame players

Blizzard would be stupid to launch D2R ladder knowing that their server could not handle the stress caused by ladder.

I am not sure why Blizzard decided to make balance changes now, unless there was overwhelming support for that from their own surveys. Since we are getting balance changes…

It’s because they never were ready or capable of launching ladder. While they may be stupid to launch ladder if it can handle it that’s not my problem or fault as a consumer. They don’t get infinite time to deliver a complete product. This has been a stall job since august. They legally had to launch by sept 23 or violate the pre sale agreement. It’s been a bait and switch since. No one thinks this meets their original tweets under either of our interpretations. It’s theft at this point.

This is wrong. Could you please show me what in the pre-sale agreement as bound by the terms of the EULA/ToS that Blizzard specifically violated by not launching ladder September 23 when they had already stated (more than a month prior to launch) that ladder would not start on September 23.

Can you show me any quite from Blizzard where they explicitly said ladder would start September 23 at any point whatsoever?

Not saying ladder needed to be by sept 23. The game did. So they had to launch the game without ladder to meet that and then appeased us with a shortly after so it’s smooth and all that jazz. Now it’s over 5 months and we are sitting here knowing we got played and have no discourse and they have our money.

You knew that ladder would not launch immediately. You could have refunded and waited to purchase when the announcement was made that ladder would start on a specific date.

Cry more noob, you know what you bought and if u don’t like it, take blizzard to court like u did with those parking tickets

How do you and others not get this. I didn’t ask for a refund because I believed it would be a few weeks out like 99% of others and after a month and it was clear it wasn’t happening they aggressively denied refunds. This was by design and not the players fault for being mislead

And to the other troll. I’ve explained how court isn’t an option by design. I bought a game with ladder as advertised in the pre sale. No ladder. Not what I paid for. Try harder child

That was your first mistake. When I saw Rod’s post, my reaction was launch may go sideways and it may take awhile to fix.

Did the pre-sale state when first ladder would start? During pre-release when refunds were easy, Blizzard said the ladder would be after the game stabilized.

Did the EULA/ToS that you agreed to give Blizzard the legal right to launch ladder when they felt the time was right? You agreed to these terms.

Then maybe you shouldn’t whine about a toy you didn’t get. Grow up kid. Get a job and enter real life like a responsible adult. Get a family and some meaning in your life so you don’t spent your free time whining about a ladder system in a 30 year old game. Jeez

If you can show any post prior to launch that you or anyone really for that matter made that ladder would be March or later I’m all ears. Otherwise you are trying to rewrite history. I’ve asked for that a few times and nothing. I will not be blamed for believing liars. The liars should be blamed.

Other troll. I have a great job and family. That’s part of the frustration. My window to play ladder is about gone as my real world obligations will ramp up soon. Plan was play first ladder hard and then likely stop playing d2r. Never got that chance and that’s why I am upset. No one and I mean no one thought it would be March or April before first ladder. No one

I always find those whining about whining to be ironic. Is there anything more pathetic?

He has every right to share his thoughts about the game. Stop inflaming the conversation.

There were a bunch just search the old forum. Many thought the D2R ladder would be significantly delayed just like in W3R.

And yet you can’t show one “shrugs”

Do I really need to find everything for you? I already provided you images of multiple tweets showing you were wrong. I provided links to news articles that showed you were wrong.

If I provide you some quotes from forum posters worrying about D2 ladder would be delayed like W3R, will you stop all this nonsense?

Lol the quotes that I had to explain to you how the word once changes the meaning from what you claim and you never addressed? Those quotes? Yawn

Let’s analyze what Rod tweeted.

  1. The first sentence states that Blizzard wants the game stable before turning ladder on.

  2. The second sentence has two parts.
    A. The first is that ladder will not be there for launch (we already knew that from sentence 1 because the game would have to launch first to see if the game was stable and ready for ladder).
    B. The second part of sentence 2 has the word “once”. The second part says that “once everything settles down”, ladder will be shortly thereafter." This refers to the game/server stability.

This is simple English.

Let’s go through Adam’s tweet.

Adam’s tweet has two sentences

  1. Sentence 1 states that ladder will be post launch and they want to wait for ladder to make sure the game is functioning correctly and the servers can handle it.
  2. Sentence 2 says that they will patch the game to remedy these game/server issues and after fixed, they would launch ladder.

It doesn’t mean shortly after stable. It means shortly after launch. Once it’s stable. Can you really not grasp that? Same example from before that you ignored. I’ll try again

Are you doing your homework at 5?

I’ll do it shortly after once I eat dinner

I’ll do it shortly after I eat dinner.

One the shortly after refers to 5. One it refers to the dinner. Can you comprehend that?

Edit. And aDams post literally says if there are major issues they will likely put the ladder with the patch that fixes the issue which obviously didn’t happen.

I think that I have figured out your misunderstanding. In your analogy there is a specific time (5pm) and an understanding that homework typically needs to be completed that night for the following day.

I will clean my room after the house is painted.
I will clean my room once the house is painted.

In either answer, the house needs to be painted first. The duration of time to paint the house is not specifically defined. Therefore, there is no specific date that I will clean my room in either statement.

Yes the duration is vague but one is shortly after launch (how it’s stated) and how is shortly after it’s stable (not how it’s stated). I’m sorry English isn’t your first language.

Edit. You keep acting like I’ve claimed there is a specific date. I have not done that once. I have argued they said shortly after launch which they did in the quote you showed. This isn’t shortly after launch (or shortly after stable either for that matter) hence why I’m upset as they lied whether intentionally or not.

Nope.

Read the first sentence. It is unequivocal. Blizzard was waiting to turn on ladder to after the game was stable.
