Don’t forget to invoice them for that one, god knows no one on their payroll is going to make an effort.
Couldnt have said this better myself. Console is a joke, how do they not even have lobbies. Disregard that, it doesnt even show if people are playing in a game or the same quest as you before you try to join. How hard is that to incorporate? As for the servers, what a sh!tshow. This is the first multiplayer game where you cant even talk to other people… trading? Forget about it. Communicate a baal run? Fat chance bud. This is a single player game marketed as multiplayer, and the fact that so many things could be easily fixed is honestly a joke
Yet none of the single player works properly either, so technically it’s not even a working game in any format
I imagine the whole dev team is on fire now so it might as well be that they didn’t come up with this idea trying to desperately fix their current solution while trying to write singleton replacement code in a very time limited environment (which will end in a fail because things like these can easily take months to write and test).
I had the same thought myself, I can see an unreal crunch being implemented which will result in cut corners, faults in the code and the creation of a whole new plethora of issues they are unable to keep up with.
All the while attempting to still drum up sales while stringing existing customers along with the fabled “fix” that will never come, just new waves of errors and issues
So, basically, you market a product that the end user cannot possibly use… I downloaded the Switch version yesterday (how stupid of me to do so without checking these threads…) and no matter what time I try to log on, I get the dreaded “… check your internet connection” timeout error… I can of course get online on my PC … #RefundD2R is your only option at this point… Blizz just continues to dump on its customers, between its own toxic workplace and its equally toxic sales and marketing practices… this is a company that deserves its looming fate (I highly suggest you, Mr. Community Manager, seek employment elsewhere otherwise you deserve the brand as part of the problem… but you likely are already looking… and hate your management as much as we all do…)
It’s not ideal. I know as even I have had difficulty playing myself and I’m hoping we can have a further update for you all here soon. Again, apologies on this everyone.
This is not a personal beef. Apology on your behalf is appreciated, but unecessary.
As of now, console is kind of flying blind and it unfortunately is leading to timeouts for users which knocks them into offline.
Only the highest of standards in all of gaming from Blizzard Entertainment. SoonTM, usual Blizzard Quality, etc. The past decade has been more of a mockery than anything on the consumers. Issues are ignored even when they’re announced during Betas, remasters have been woefully lacking in the aspects that matter most, respectively.
There are moments where players are getting in as we have a team around the clock turning on the faucets for console players to feed online
If payments were forced to work by same principle, I’m convinced the shot-callers would actually ensure that the product gets the software and hardware support it needs.
This weekend has led to an even more massive increase in players connecting into one specific region and is thus causing players to move to other regions and create queues there.
What is even happening here? How many bajillion more online games does this company have to sell to realize that your servers are almost never able to cope before fixing them after releasing a product?
How did you even generate this many keys if the game can’t handle them being operated?
This inability to read your audience is exactly why you announced a phone game for one of the most successful computer games at a convention that had about 99.9999% exclusive pc gamers.
Again, apologies on this everyone.
A lot of these issues, individually, can be happen fairly easily, and a few aren’t even unreasonable. But when you add all of them together, you’re left with a product that doesn’t work in any reasonable capacity almost a month after release. Add them all together and you don’t have a blunder, you have a failed product launch at hand.
I don’t even want my money back. Ironically, because its a remaster, I already know this game would be great if you didn’t absolutely gut the online lobbies for consoles. But this “dry run” of gathering fans for your D4 release has been disasterous. As far as Blizzard putting it’s best foot forward and building a good reputation for D4’s launch, see further above concerning Blizzard Quality and SoonTM - this ain’t it, bruh.
Couldn’t agree more, until I bought D2r I was hyped for Diablo 4. Now I find myself hating their standards and lack of actually functional results. As a result of all this, I’ll never buy Diablo 4, if they can’t even get a rehash of an existing game right, they quite literally stand 0 chance of getting any aspects of a new game correct, be it on release or the month there after.
If I see it in a bargain bin years after release, I’ll consider buying it, maybe as a paperweight, who knows.
I think that is my biggest issue… I believe in fairness and the fact they didn’t wait for the queue patch so it could be launched to everyone giving everyone a fair shot is what irritates me. And if I am being even more honest, it probably wouldn’t irritate me as much except I am physically seeing how one sided it is in my own household. My husband never had to wait more than 30 minutes for a queue at any given time. I finally got in after 6 hours of attempts.
I have been gaming since EverQuest days even… I know what load balancing is… however prior to the PC queue patch I did not have this issue of not being able to play when the servers were up. Now the servers are up, but PC peeps are the only ones consistently being able to play while console users may get lucky because the ‘faucets’ are always kept open for PC users but console ‘faucets’ are constantly going into timeouts? See that doesn’t make sense to me. See only when the husband told me that queues were down to about 2 minutes was I able to get in by repeatedly pressing online within a matter of minutes and then I was able to stay online for several hours.
My opinion is there isn’t separate ‘faucets’ for console users and we are at the mercy of how many PC users are queuing up based on what I experienced yesterday.
It blows my mind that you Don’t limit sales to match your capability. Still selling it knowing full well you don’t have the ability to take on more players.
Glad you finally got in, nearing 5hours of attempting to get in, hopefully in an hour or so then!
I second this! Been only able to play online for a total of 3 hours in the span of 3 days…this needs to be solved
Why are you DENYING REFUNDS to ALL PLAYERS…
DIABLO 2: REFUND REJECTED…
GOT ANY COMMENTS ON THAT?
Warcraft 3: Refunded was in FAR WORSE condition than this fiasco, and you opened up refunds there.
What happened? Does Blizzard no longer stand by their products?
Refunds for Warcraft III: Reforged - Blizzard Support (battle.net)
Blizzard stands by the quality of our products and our services. Normally we set limits for refund availability on a game, based on time since purchase and whether it has been used. However we want to give players the option of a refund if they feel that Warcraft III: Reforged does not provide the experience they wanted. So, we’ve decided to allow refunds upon request for the time being. You may request a refund here on our Support Site.
Today I am at 2.5 hours attempting . I am going to see if I can go for a new record of getting in on a dripping faucet before husband gets up.
But I will say given that PC peeps seem to be over 300 slots I am not sure what the odds are… maybe some will go to church
How about hiring competent people. Your current staff is obviously unable to do what is needed. How in the world was this released with this many issues. The project managers, server admins, low level tech support. All garbage. There are a buttload of people that could use jobs. Fire all the idiots, look for smarter people.
Think I’ve set myself a record, just breached the 5 hour mark was hoping for the shortest time record, but a record is a record
Obviously they were tired of hearing us complain about missing functionality on the console end, like in game chat, custom lobbies and mouse and keyboard support so they decided to give us something “real” to complain about…
Lol
How about go eat thurd and make the servers bigger losers?
That would lead to save wizard hacks and a broken game. I wish we could save offline but D3 is ruined by hacked save files and so would D2R.
I’d like to know how people on my friends list got in instantly, while I’m still sat trying after 5+ hours…
