What is going on with your console servers?

Apparently me letting people know who to contact to get it taken off the store to prevent others buying a broken product is against what they stand for… So I’m emailing those very same people to let them know blizzard is trying to silence those sharing information on how to complain. This is for lack of a better term, trying to silence and cover up what they’re doing so they can keep making money off people who can’t use the product. Worse still, some fanboy was the one who flagged it!!

So far, no weekend we’ve been able to play Diablo 2 on consoles in peace…

Its crazy ive never purchased a game that was just frequently unplayable ive also never had the urge to signup for a game forum this game pisses me off more than any other game ive ever played through out all my years of gaming and at least with those games i could actually play them this is straight bs i feel its just getting progressively worse! Why why why why sunday off work 60 hours during the week just want to play and im forced to wait and wait even then when it does let me play im scared to invest all this time and energy just for this to happend again and again i feel at a loss here guys might be moving on to something else entirely its horrible any recommendations?

i guess you did not read the entire message he wrote there… stating that console would have this within a week because it is having to go through first party certs

Doesn’t mean they’re not entitled for a refund. Regardless of when a fix will be, 3 weeks of issues, and even the offline doesn’t work as intended is more than grounds for a refund for those who seek it.

crazy Idea how about waiting till consoles get Certifications before releasing on PC release it for all?

Exactly my point, I don’t want a refund, I want it removed and reinstated when it’s working as intended so we can actually use the product we paid for.

Everyone knows it takes longer to patch consoles even, and especially, Blizzard. They could have waited until the console patches were ready to go but no they deliberately chose to patch PC knowing it would essentially lock out console players. This works out great for them with one stroke of the enter key they reduced the player base and the strain on their authentication servers by queuing the remaining PC players.

We all paid the exact same amount for the game yet console players are being treated like 2nd class citizens. I’m sure this has something to do with refunds and CC charge backs. They figure PC players are more likely to go to the CC companies because if you file a chargeback against MS/Sony/Nintendo you will lose your account.

No matter what the reason it is unacceptable to lock players out of a game they paid for and people like you need to stop being apologists for these scumbag game companies.

Yup I’m not going to chargeback my Xbox purchase, I’ll lose too much from that.

I’ll chargeback my PC version, I don’t care if lose all my Blizzard games, this was the last one anyway.

My sentiments exactly, people defending this crap show is beyond absurd. And the fact blizzard employees are taking down any post directing people to the right email address etc are being taken down further proves they are trying to cover up and silence the console player base, all whilst still selling the broken game to keep reaping people’s wallets…

And then people from asia server has 1500+ queue so they be like lets go queue on AMERICAN server lmao… shouldnt ve able to switch server like taht stay in your region

Not sure how you can say you have a team working on this 24/7 yet you pushed a patch out for pc which connects to the same global data center as consoles making a hugeeeeeee issue for only console players… You got one platform running on an updated game saving to the same data center as the “outdated” console version. How was not in any freaking way forseen? A part of me believes you used D2R release to pay for that 18million dollar settlement and said “its fine the way it is, tell pc we made a queue system… tell console SOL but we’ll try for next weekend! No promises”

Because it’s too much effort to let us in so they slowly drip feed pc players to protect their old fragile servers. Then prevent all console users connecting to further protect their servers…

The moment you guys do exactly like CD Projekt and offer a refund for EVERYONE that bought the game and was completely deceived by the state of the game’s servers, then, and only then, I’ll believe any excuses and apologies you make.

They won’t, they deleted my post pointing people towards the email address of the CEO and vp of Xbox to get it removed until it’s fixed and working as intended. Citing it goes against their standards, and having ready their community standards, I know I didn’t breach any. No hate speech, no racism, no sexism, no threats etc but they deleted it to stop people getting it pulled from the stores until it’s fixed. So they’re trying their hardest to take no responsibility, or have any consequences whilst they keep stringing us along.

Here is a quick solution for you guys. And a genius one. How about firing up a parallel infrastructure with another main and regional databases? Sure people won’t be able to play with friends but they at the very least will be able to play at all while you can keep working on the solution to merge databases together in a background. We get you you have an ancient piece of legacy singleton code preventing the whole system to scale. So just duplicate the whole system? At least your customers will be able to play.

So in other words, you guys have no idea what you’re doing.
Buncha clowns.
