Channels are literally the only thing that I expected them to add. Instead, there’s a couple more games, ping info that doesnt really matter, and a search function that doesn’t really do anything. gg.

i too was expecting something a little more drastic… but this stupid LOBBY (filled with softcore players) needs to stop.
even if these people are talking / trading. i’ve managed to make 1 game because of lobby… 1 game, in almost a year… common…
Does it not work or something? You make no sense. A search function was the most important change the game needed.
i don’t even see how it helps, there’s only usually like 5-10 games up. it’s not like a search function is going to make more games appear (i’m talking about hardcore)…
and personally, never even join pubs unless i see someone needing something very easy i can give away.
the search function for games is 100% useless to me, and i’m sure many others, and definitely NOT “the most important change to the game” lol. not even needed if you ask me.

I don’t understand how it could possibly be useless. There are always plenty of Baal games up, and if you don’t happen to have one in your localized region, you’re screwed. The search should fix that. A game changer.
Unless it doesnt work. I haven’t been able to test any of this since I won’t be home for another couple hours.
I would love to have a loot filter, but being able to find games was more important for sure. Hopefully next time we get a loot filter.

like maybe FOR YOU, it’s an important change, but to me? 100% useless, i make all my own baal games. always private. trading? anyone with more than two brain cells know that trading in game is a massive waste of time.
so to me, this search function is 100% not needed. i could keep repeating myself, but stop trying to say it’s an important feature. it’s really not. and that’s for each person to decide for themselves. but i won’t be using it. ever.
and a loot filter would be 100000000000000000% more useful. LOL. i don’t need arrows, bolts, thawing potions, all the throwing pots littering my screen so i can’t see the good stuff… game search filter… ? absolutely useless in comparison.
the search for “Baal” brought up 2 games - both were over an hour old.
I don’t think that it works as intended. But maybe it will be better when they finally get the game working again…?
Anyway, channels were it. I don’t even know how anyone could argue against the single most important community aspect of the game. why discord when they literally had chat channels/clans/etc built in??
Search, great…how is that better than your own personal community of like minded players with similar objectives?
Want to find a baal run?
Go to the baal run channel.
Want to not interact with SC ppl? Go to the hardcore channel.
Want to build a clan?
Create a clan channel and invite people you want to play with.
How is being able to search for one of three terms people use to make games helpful? Especially when the games already appear in the thing?

IF the search function works property and retrieves games not in the scroll-down list already…as in, retrieves literally all “term” results within the specified difficultly it could be helpful.
Ping tho, completely useless. A change literally no one asked for that adds no value whatsoever.
Would have been better if they showed the game time instead, but oh well.
I was fearing that they were being scammy again and trying to pull a fast one. I thought, no, they wouldn’t actually put in a search function that just searched the game list that you can easily just look through yourself in 5 seconds would they? They wouldn’t be that devious to try to sell us on something so silly when a real search function was being asked for…
They keep exceeding my expectations in this way every time though. I really hope it’s just a bug.

I was able to get on and play for about 30 minutes.
The games list was longer and had the color icons (meh).
The search function simply filtered your existing list of ~40 games. Applying that “search” (filter) required you to wait the 15 second cooldown. And then once you “searched” you had to wait another 15 seconds to remove/change the search or otherwise refresh.
It has to be that it wasn’t functioning properly. This would be ridiculous huckster BS
The thought had crossed my mind when this was announced, but I refrained from asking the question because I figured it would be needlessly insulting to the company. Like they’re trying to do something good for us. And then trying to take that and turn it into a negative would just be needlessly insulting. That no company, not even Blizzard, would think that introducing a search function that just searched the 40 games in front of your face would be proper and not a complete joke.
I gave them too much credit.
Able to log in again. Search isn’t returning anything. I’m going to be optimistic and hope they’re working on it…
