Who else is NOT buying that bull crap scam game?
Count me out on that. Didn’t buy the base game, not buying the expansion.
Not a diablo game.
yeah not touching it… sorry, not sorry.
they lost me at “micro-transactions” in a game they’re making you PAY FOR
if d4 and the expansion were free, i would at least try it to see if its worth playing.
but I’m not even going to touch a game that has micro-transactions in if its not free to play.
Right!? It’s one or the other, not both lol.
Good on you for having principles. If more people did, the industry wouldn’t be able to pull this off. Too many of us would walk out.
Diablow 4: Vessel of Boredom
Then why are you here? Makes no sense. SMH
because this is the d2:R forum?
and d2:R doesn’t have micro-transactions?
Well, I mean, technically no… But… Well, you know.
well if people go to illegal sell sites that’s not my problem.
i trade using jsp. where i don’t need to spend a cent, just trade the items i find for fg, and that FG for items. i have a traderie for extremely niche cases on very hard to find items that jsp users dont normally keep. but that is over all absurdly inconvenient is way way worse than jsp.
It doesn’t matter if you personally don’t purchase items via RMT, it’s a problem for everyone that does any trading. RMT sales fuel the need to run bots to keep those item store stocked, which wallet warriors buying the items floods the player market with botted items, which not only devalues items much more quickly, but also accelerates the character progression for anyone who trades that much faster.
An item a human spends time farming is more valuable than the same item farmed by a bot.
the difference is i cant get everything in game via trade without paying a cent simply by playing the game normally.
that’s not possible in d4
Not here. The team that originally made Diablo 2 is long gone, so I really don’t see the point in buying any other Blizzard games.
Looks like the difficulty creep from D3 is back. Yeeah looking to be pretty meh. I’ll stick with FromSoft titles until Wayward Realms gets an EA release next year.
Apparently it was supposed to release around 4 hours ago or something but technical issues have delayed it and will probably push it back to tomorrow, so HungryJ is unintentionally correct with the thread title.
I just checked it a stream of it. Character at level 23 is doing like 20-40 damage with attacks…? Is this normal or did they finally get rid of the bloat ?
A lot of people are enjoying D4, actually. If it isn’t for you, stick with D2. I don’t really see the point in being so cynical. And yes, I prefer D2 as well
forced coop? thats a no for me
this is always a good joke
people bragging their lunch was “free” when actually someone else has paid for it
This sums it up perfectly. They are a triple A company releasing a product that is far inferior in quality than a free game coming into early access soon. Makes zero sense.
You are buying an expansion that doesn’t really do anything to the game, just more money in rich people’s pockets who don’t care about what the community (especially the foundational, original community members) want. Every single thing in D4 feels the same. There is no monster identity, class identity, item identity, nothing feels unique, and the community encourages this BS behavior by voting with our dollars. We all know this is garbage, and the people that play are coping and don’t want to face the fact that the game is just not up to par and will never be.
Honestly, whenever I hear someone mention Blizzard, I am always reminded of that show Mythic Quest on Apple.
Really good point. The mobs have zero identity. I can’t even look up a fallen in diablo 4 and find its defense, HP, resistances…because it’s all relative to who is fighting it. It has no characteristics of its own.
You can’t even see most of the monsters you’re fighting because there’s such a fog over everything. Monsters come off as floating healthbars, nothing more.
