Hey,
Curve from NM to Hell is to High.
Farming Nightmare to Prepairing Hell could be i must have.
But phsycial and Magic user can easylier do the Hell mode complelty and Element user not.
But my point is , The Sunder are to less usefuly , we have to Feel the Change.
Make items and runes Rare but let the fun happen.
Atm its hard to farm hell and its hard to find runes.
a Good balance would be great , and maybe make a Filter that you have a day drop and everything besides that is a plus maybe for casual friendly
My Dream would be:
A Skilltree for Progression
A Skilletree for Farming
A Skilltree for Uberbosses

Hell difficulty wouldn’t be hell if it was easy…
:o
If you want more of a laid back casual friendly game, you should try Diablo 3. Not trying to be mean either, it’s an honest suggestion, as I’ve put many hours into D3. It’s also challenging… If you don’t mind being restricted to only running greater rifts.

Laidback casual game is D3 + D4. D2 is for old time gamers who actually want a challenge and even Hell Difficulty doesn’t pose that much of a challenge if you know what you’re doing or pick the melts everything without much hassle Paladin class with Blessed Hammer at their disposal. Necromancer is also in this class since they can roll with Poison and use Lower Resist to make their Poison Nova deal some nice solid damage. With Trang-Oul Gloves + Off-Hand in a 3-piece setup(at minimum), you can obtain +25% Poison Damage and -25% Enemy Poison Resistance. Somehow manage to get Death’s Web(rare as hell Elite wand) and you can steamroll through Hell without batting an eyelash). Perfect Death Web + full Trang-Oul with 5/5 Poison Facets = -95 Enemy Poison Resistance. Even Poison Sundered enemies have ZERO Resistance here and take amplified damage while under the effects of Lower Resist curse. Everyone else, try amplified Poison Damage(going as high as x2 Damage).
TLDR: Hell Difficulty isn’t that hard if you know what builds to roll with. Hybrid builds may not melt enemies as quickly as single element setups but they aren’t as affected by Hell Immunity either.

I like i like…
But the black market survive just because the game is so hard from nightmare to hell.
And Jonny 94 nova Sorc come in a game Act 1 start and rushes easy everything.
You dont wanna say that promote the High end gear?
The player in game Act 1 start , thinking wow thats easy i want that…
he coming to hell and get back to reality because he get 1 hit from a goblin
and im not saving its should be like d3 or d4 , but we have to enjoying the game for some point.
Atm fast progression from Baalrun after lvl 25 to epic mass ep to 45 go nm rush make nm baal runs to 75 go hell get rush…and thats the problem no the rushed person stands on a wall where you cant do anything in Hell mode because the progression was to fast
maybe a option could be make trade forbidden like in d3 to avoid criminal activitys or…
make a own trade feature where you can control real money trades
If you’re getting 1 shot from a devilkin in the Blood Moor in Hell, then there is something wrong with your character. It makes me question how you got past NM Baal. (Assuming you got help?)

yes i maked baal run till 70 with my blizzard sorc… i cant do anything in hell… and besides that i get 1 shoted from devilkins…where is the fun on that?
As I said, there is something wrong with your character build.
One thing about Diablo 2, it doesn’t hold your hand like most modern games do. If you keep running into the meat grinder and dying, it doesn’t give any clues… It just keeps grinding you up.
just asking for a bit balance between classes, and not that i have to start a barb just to realise that i have to play sorc for farm gear
The different classes offer gameplay diversity and enhance replayability. And no you don’t have to start with a sorc to farm items. The Fist of Heavens paladin build is now a great farming class after they tweaked holy bolt to also damage demons. And with his tankiness with holy shield and enough dexterity to max block, he’s nearly invincible.
i dont wanna start a paladin , i wanna play a sorc even in hell…
a simple workaround could be to make charms and affixes like cold damage 8-16 added to spells , that could give the possiblity to get spells better to farm charms , jewels with +elemental damage
There are plenty of resources on how to build a hell capable sorc even with crap gear. It takes a bit of skill as far as aiming and evasion tactics, but is doable.
Hybrid Sorceress(Fire + Cold) works quite well in Hell Difficulty. Most enemies are immune to at least one Element(Fire, Cold or Lightning) with Uniques potentially spawning with 2(but never all three with respect to those). To counter the rare Fire/Cold Immune, you have Static Field and Telekinesis in the Lightning Tree + Mercenary to deal with them.
Then when you get your hands on a Cold Sunder Charm, re-spec into a full fledged Blizzard Sorceress. The Sunder charm will remove Cold Immunity on all Monsters where it applies at the cost of penalizing your character with a malus to Cold Resistance. Considering Cold is often the easiest of the three to avoid, consider it a trade-off that will pay off because once Immunity is broken, your Cold Mastery kicks in(albeit at 20% effectiveness). Meaning a level 37 Cold Mastery yields -40 Enemy Cold Resistance as opposed to the listed -200 but only for Sundered Enemies. For everyone else, their Resistance drops to the maximum(-100). To further pierce Cold Resistance, grab a Nightwing Helm(which buffs your Cold Damage considerably) and place a 5/5 Cold Facet(aka Jewel) inside of it. Additionally, the runeword Doom will yield a big chunk of negative Resistance(-40 to as high as -60!). Cold Mastery + well rolled Doom effectively ensures you’ll be doing full damage against everything.
The demand is generated because of difficulty, but the supply exists because of hackers, botters, and other unsavory ne’er-do-well types. It’s people that created the black market, not the “untenable difficulty.”
If the people cheating in this game weren’t weak minded idiots who hate difficulty, there’d be no cheats. You’re blaming the game instead of the babies who don’t want to play it.
EDIT: and no, before anyone says it, I’m not making a broader statement about cheating in general. I literally am specifically speaking about cheating online in Diablo 2 and all its iterations. That’s literally what I’m saying, nothing more.
People who want to play with hand holding can mod the game and play it SINGLE PLAYER, like I do. I’m not “holier than thou” but I DO refrain from ruining it for others. Single player, offline, we can do whatever we want. I can type a command in there and level up to 99 instantly. It’s great.
But ONLINE? Nah-uh. People need to man up if they want to play online.

D2 has a confluence of perfectly good ideas creating a flawed system. Immunities and synergy bonuses are not two systems that mix well, at least not with D2’s implementation. Synergy bonuses are too restrictive on the vast majority of build options to reasonably farm hell mode, and that’s still true with sunder charms. That’s why the meta builds emerge.
Unfortunately, everything that’s been added to D2 in D2R has done nothing or made the game worse. Sunder charms make the best builds with powerful gear even stronger and not much else. Mosaic ruins the game and isn’t an item that is in any way in the spirit of D2. To top it off, whirlwind was destroyed and is now a pretty terrible skill overall, a far cry from it’s original position as an amazing skill and why barbs made good first characters.
My sincere recommendation for playing D2 is that it’s well worth playing, I’d even call it a famous game for its quality. However, D2R is the worst way to experience D2.
???
WUT?
caster builds are and have always been vastly superior to melee builds in terms of power in d2.
its one of the greatest imbalanced in the game, and one could argue it was the most imbalanced thing before mosaic. (I’m ignoring actual bugs like stacking auras)
so absolutely not.
sunders would be better off removed entirely.
casters didn’t need more power creep
Depends how to define power. I wouldn’t choose any caster for uber trist, and really not a preferred TZ runner either compared to an endgame physical build. The damage potential of physical builds is far higher than caster builds. Casters tend to be better for general farming. The imbalance really only exists for early-mid leveling.
since you emphasize always, you get a clear: Nope.
In vanilla d2 (even after discovering the power of FC), physicals were stronger than casters and had a higher ceiling. You could even find a treatise at the Lurker Lounge why physicals were intrinsically stronger than casters and why this wouldn’t change.
No, but the sunder charms would be most beneficial for helping players get through hell the first time. It’s pretty craptacular that you can only get the item that actually helps you after going through hell first. All they really need to do is make it iLV 72, that way you have to be at a high enough level to get a TZ 71 and boom, you have to kill elites in the TZ to get the charms.
It really doesn’t make any sense that the acquisition is limited to post-hell TZs only.
I believe they wanted to keep the first character playthrough experience the same. Otherwise if Sunders were allowed to drop without any restrictions, it would have been just another small step towards making the game easier.
Even with sunder charms available in NM TZs, the player experience is still going to be plenty difficult, especially solo. Virtually zero players will have something like a merc outfitted with infinity to ease them through hell the first time, so the sunders would at least give them a way to deal with the immunes. It’d still take a while to kill them, but they could kill them.
