Unable ot play OffLine

I was playing D2R offline when there was a power outage, when I got back on the CHR I was playing with seems to be del and when I try to play with the other chrs I get “failed to join game”

I don’t know how to solve your missing character, but whenever the game crashes the shared stash file always becomes corrupted, preventing you from entering any offline character game.
I was able to fix the second problem for myself, see here:

Whilst playing in game, my PC crashed (likely caused by the game itself, however irrelevant). Upon restart, I fired up the game again, and tried to play as that same offline character, and I’m faced with the error “Failed to join game”. Restarting the game does not solve this problem. As someone who has commercial software testing experience I find this absolutely appalling that a AAA game company would release a game without running a test case on restoring the game after a software or hardwar…

Apparently you can try loading your .D2S there and do a save as D2R and that may bring your character back - it worked for somebody else.

That only works if the file isn’t too corrupted. Unfortunately, most of the people who run into this issue have their d2s files essentially zeroed out, which means no information can be recovered. The only person that had that link work actually had a legacy D2 character that for some reason wasn’t being accepted by D2R. He used that to convert the legacy character to a D2R character. It’s still worth a try, but I suggest examining the file with a hex editor to see how badly mangled it is.
