when you buy a sword in a store, it is not engraved with which skill level you can use the thing.
This is another change that takes you out of the flow of the game because it’s just visually distracting.
toggle ? how many toggles do you want ?
argh never mind…we’ll see what else they build in to “improve” the game completely broken and “simplify” for you. And then its to late.
you want statistics and a game that looks like a colorful Exel table ?
Path of Exile is such a case…
I don’t want to read a book when I examine an item…
Without knowing the ilvl of an item it makes things like crafting and socket quests more difficult to do unless you write down where you got every piece of equipment from.
Showing the ilvl of an item is a very simple convenience change for people who use cube recipes. I see no reason not to show it by default, but it should very much be an option even if people don’t agree.
I am sorry you don’t seem to appreciate that people want changes without forcing those changes on folks that don’t want them. Hence asking for toggles and options.
You don’t understand the concept?? This is Important for those Looking to craft/gears+ Amulets That are 2/20 Baal is the Only one as far as I know that drops Ilvl99 amulets for crafting so Basically the Best amulets in the game come from baal. And If I drop a Blue Amy in My Inventory how am I gonna know it’s from baal. unless I try and roll/craft it right away. Which most wont.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to see these sorts of internal processes that are usually hidden.
The more of these mechanics are exposed, the less it feels like a world to visit and more like a math problem. It’s like seeing the string holding up a spaceship in a scifi movie.
I’d like to see this come to D2:R as well. I’m tired of sorting (and potentially forgetting) where hell Baal grand charms are for rolling later.
Even just an ‘advanced tooltip’ option, or even if it was something that only shows up in the cube for items where the ilvl matters. I could care less about the ilvl of an ID scroll.
They could add a sort of D2 Info option where you can look things up with a click of a small icon or something (brings you to a site like Arreat summit or D2Wiki) If people are to lazy to tab over on PC or if they are playing on console.
It won’t hurt anyone but the poor people who have to go in and manually code every potential combination of affix/prefix to proper display the appropriate iLvl based on a combination of those combinations in conjunction with the type of item. From what I recall, even modders didn’t like adding this to their mods, but they did it in the end.
