Is this something that has been added yet? I cannot find it in the options so I assume not. It definitely is something that should be present as an option though.
Haven’t seen it yet in the beta. But this is one of the quality of life changes that would really be nice, especially for cubing grand charms to make skillers.
Yeah just for the sake of crafting, larzuk socketing, etc. It’s just a lot of hassle to keep track of where items dropped so you can sort them and hopefully remember their ilevel, etc. Crafting is a real hassle without this.
I’m losing track of the toggles. Can we get a toggle to list all the different toggles too please?
An option for area level too would be nice so people know which areas to farm for certain items.
Yes please.

I don’t think this needs to be a toggle. It should be a standard. It’s such a minor change with good value for players.
I would like this info on the UI as well.
There are very few changes that have been posted that I agree with, but this is one of them.
EDIT: And I don’t think it would even need to be a toggle. It’s required information in order to craft properly.
Good call, man.
Why would you need item levels in D2 itemization isnt that complex its very easy to see if something is an improvement. Hell an item level in D2 would actually hinder progress as some early game items (sigons, ridots keen (sp) are useful till the mid 20s or so when they are very low level items . An Ilvl display would confuse new players into thinking they got a better item when in actuality its worse
Good god man, that is one hell of a hot take. Might wanna find a flame shield, and fast.
Edit: for the rest of the post… Sigon’s 2 piece set is actually great even in hell for some characters. 8 to attack rating per level and 30% IAS are pretty good if you have not found better attack rating gear yet. You also get 10% life leech from it.
Rixot’s keen is ok, but a malice weapon is pretty easy to get and significantly better. Barring really good luck, you can probably get a malice weapon before you find a rixot’s keen. (deathspade is better anyway, that mana gain on kill is nice low levels…)
If a new player can’t compare the differences between 2 items on their own, Ilvl is not going to help or hinder them.
YES PLEASE, THANK YOU. This would be Great!
I can actually see where a new player would be confused. It would need to be optional. Generally, higher ilevel is better in most games, and new players would not understand the nuances of crafting/socketing.
I mean… I guess…?
Can we not just assume people are so braindead that the only thing they look at is the ilvl though?
I mean… If someone can look at an axe with
+60-70% Enhanced [Damage]
+8 To Minimum Damage
15% Bonus to [Attack Rating]
Hit Blinds Target
+4 points of [Mana]after each kill
and a sword with
+2 max damage
and can’t tell that one is better than the other even with the ilvl being higher, they will struggle to choose the right gear anyway.
Agreed it would be cool. I think this comes in as QoL for sure.
It is important information for Larzuk sockets, cube rerolling, and cube crafting. It has nothing to do with choosing between Deathspade or some other weapon. iLvl should be listed by default on the UI.
good god, do you even know what you are talking about? Mr. Llama made a spirit in his last stream. He looked at the monsterlevel, found out that preserved dead have a Level of 23, Unique mobs get the +5 so the ilvl was 28. enough for the cubing reciepe to give 4 sockets.
When i reroll my lvl 9 rare jewels i need an ilvl of 12-13 to get all the affixes i want. if you reroll such a jewel with a lvl 20-22, you will always get a ilvl12-13, meaning you can reroll a jewel endlessly with the highest chance of getting the affixes (think the formula was 0.4xilvl + 0.4xclvl =alvl). if you gamble for lvl 9 rings and amulets you go for the same principle. Gambling rare circlets also falls in this category. Getting the right sockets needs ilvl, crafting caster or blood stuff needs ilvl (think the formula was 0.5xilvl +0.5clvl)
there is nothing more frustrating than not being sure if that jewel you have been rerolling with 40 p skulls is really that one that dropped from andy. Or that amulet is the one from baal’s minions.
There is an app for this called “tome” that shows you all tc85 areas and a lot of other good stuff for diablo 2.
I’m surprised this QoL isnt in yet, it’s important for crafting.
Yes? I am aware. I was responding to posts claiming it might be confusing for new players.
I was responding to folks claiming Ilvl would be too hard to understand for new players.
Maybe try actually reading what I said.
