This game is getting really toxic without /players 8

Bro countess runs should be done on players 1 it increases her chances of dropping you a good rune. Players 8 increases chances of all mobs in the tower but for her special rune drop players 1 gives you the best chance strangely enough.

./players8 would be good to have online as well as offline. You could set what player count you want when you create a game and it could adjust it depending on weather people join or not. I think it would be cool.

Let’s just remove /players 8 altogether from the game. That way there’s no more whinging about who gets it and who doesn’t.

That’s my opinion on it, you want /Players8, All players should be forced to actually be within a certain distance of each other for it to have an effect on loot drops in the area.

Just being in the game, shouldn’t be enough. People can just buy multiple copies of the game and sit their alts in town… etc.

Personally I think the uptick in this sort of poor behavior is driven by the fact runz are so difficult to do. Their game creation throttle has seen to that. So the magic find fanatics turn to other ways of getting a game full, through lies and deceit. I think the behavior has always been here, just they were willing to do runz to snag the loot and everyone benefited. Now they really can’t.

player8 or better drop rates would lighten the traffic on servers and thus saving blizz more money and less headache with down time

You can add level restrictions.

Between the two, I’d increase drop rates.

Has the same overall effect without “circumventing” game mechanics and multiplayer interaction to begin with.

The primary reason there is a multiplayer mode is for people to play multiplayer, after all.

I could give two shakes for the game’s “economy” and all that garbage. That’s not why the game was created.

The game was created to be played. Multiplayer was created to facilitate interaction between players.

The game wasn’t designed as a vessel for some to create RMT businesses around.

It’s already like this. 3 ppl together has a better drop rate than 8 ppl in a game going at it solo. This has already been taken in to account. Ppl just don’t realize it yet.

If you’re at the point of despising other players, why aren’t you just playing single player where you don’t have to deal with them and can actually use /players8

I don’t really like the idea of messing with drops, I can see something like all games 4 player drops unless above 4 players then it keeps going up. So a lot of games wouldn’t be worth jumping into but that changes solo to 3 man auto 4p.

A better way would be a much improved lobby, set more requirements, allow games to be seen and players able to message the leader for a password if one. Games could be changed more fluently so you can add/remove password, change requirements, or kick.

Don’t really need to touch drops to make this work. It’s just how much effort are we expecting here.

giving the creator the option to kick players from game will help with the MFers killing boss on questers

Creators can create private games if they don’t want intruders.

I kind of would not mind if they added at least ‘’/4 players’’ because all games no matter if it is 1 or 7 players are being swarmed by farmers with no intention to be social. I played a game to help 2 players in act2 and suddenly 4 level 90 players joined and killed Mephisto, Diablo and Baal. All games are swarmed by players that want to farm stuff with a higher dropchance and it ruins the experience for people that want simply create a game and play with others through act 1-5. They could balance the percentage of drops with 1-8 players to make group-play viable, alternately remove +experience from /2-4 to make it just an item drop thing.

See that’s annoying as hell. I always farm behind people. If it was an act 2 game I would hit up andy, act 4 game I would hit andy and meph because they’re obviously not using those. If I do cows on a p8 game does it affect that as well?

I don’t believe it will kill public games, there’s a lot of people that want to be rushed, that are undergeared, new to the game, etc that need others to clear things / kill stuff. If anything adding players8 will kill those “toxic” public games.
