When I log on and see 2 nightmare lobbies… 13 hell lobbies and 7 normal lobbies… I Lose absolutely all faith in this game.
It has taken way too long to get ladder up and running…
6 months in from launch almost… and no ladder…
No wonder people are leaving lol…

Why would people start new characters when ladder is soon to come?

Huh went to PTR and I had to queue for 1 minute. That just tells me lots of people on.
Yes. PvM is dead as usual. Game is easy and economy is broke after like 3 months.
Thats why end game is PvP - which is still pretty active atm.

I doubt that there is a relevant pvp scene at all. 10-15 years ago there were at least regularly open pvp games. Since i started playing Resurrected i have not seen one game. Having a solely closed pvp scene means lower numbers of players of course. Pvp is quite dead these days. But no wonders, Diablo 2 is a pvm game at all.
its almost like this was just a cash grab and they dont care about the franchise or their reputation
we waiting the ladder reset that never come. A ladder that was suppose to come soon after release not 8 years later, don’t complain at dead and a ghost town, complain at blizzard that they definition of soon is half of a year or even more while for all the rest of the mortals, that definition it’s 2-4 weeks.
They are fixing it on PTR, game is not dead. You just dont see games.

They are actualy improving game so yeah i think they do. Maybe leadership doesnt that much based but on changes devs do.
there are other new games out there with better end game content
in D2R it’s either cows, chaos or baal, gets boring after awhile, game is old and outpaced by the latest games

Most of us are waiting for 2.4 and the ladder reset to dive back in. Hopefully they have lobby and game list fixes though…
You posted this at ~1 am PST on a Tuesday/Wednesday, presumably on NA realm, and are surprised there weren’t many games? Or are you talking about another time you logged in? If that’s the case, there’s some restrictions/bugs with the game list you may have encountered, which are seemingly going to be fixed in coming patch. Or, you know, not many people play at 1 am on tues/weds, could just be that too. Or, you know, people just waiting for ladder to play more. Or just people playing other games that are newer and shinier at the moment, like Elden Ring, or countless other quality and fun games we have these days. Anyways, outside of game list being bugged/restricted sometimes, I don’t have the same issue that you do, OP. More like 20-30 games in normal, 10 games in nightmare, and 20-40 games in hell (that I can see).
Waiting for ladder personally. Kind of a nice break to focus on work and personal life lol
You do realize you can just game besides work and personal life like a normal human being right? Nobody is forcing you to no life a game.
